Description: In 1998, a great location and the desire to produce superb pizza led Dan and Ken Bothman to create La Fiamma Wood Fire Pizza. An immediate sensation, Dan and Ken's restaurant was showered with acclaim, winning the Best New Business and Bellingham's Best Pizza awards, as well as garnering two Best Recipe awards in the National Association of Pizza Operators (NAPO) International Recipe Contest. But stellar pizza isn't the only reason to visit La Fiamma. The stylish decor and vibrant atmosphere delight and entice both young and old and everyone in between. You can witness the display of a pizza's progression through the kitchen (kids love it), or you can relax in our heated outdoor dining area, and catch an amazing sunset over the San Juan Islands. The La Fiamma experience is always a fusion of personality, ambience, and incredible food.

“Very good food in eclectic Bellingham”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

This is a fun place to get great wood fire pizza, a delicious Panini, and creative salads. My husband and I chose this as our Valentine's Day lunch restaurant and the food did not disappoint. All of our food was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is more upbeat and family-friendly, so it might not be the best place to have a romantic date. The building itself is very cool with lots of brick and metal for a modern look. Their house-made salad dressings are a refreshing & creative change from the norm. I ordered a Greeny Panini and, with the side salad it came with, half of the sandwich was plenty for lunch leaving us with the other half to take home! My husband ordered one of the amazing-valued lunch specials where you can order ANY personal sized pizza off their menu - even the custom ones jam packed with toppings - and a small salad for under $9. We both really enjoyed our food and will bring the kids back next time so they can enjoy the pizza and fun atmosphere too!

“Closest to the pizza we had in Florence, Italy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014

Our favorite is the Margarita Pizza. Hot out of the stone oven, it is a close second to the best pizza we have ever had in Italy! Eat in though and do not take home...it is just not the same.

“Great pizza, great place for all ages!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

We love this place! They have unique, wonderful pizza combinations - don't be afraid, try any of them and you'll be happy. Great lunch special - a small pizza and salad so everyone can have their own flavor. They provide sough for kids to play with while they are waiting - great fun for the young ones. We're retired and go there regularly with friends and family.

“Tasty pizza, energetic atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

Stopped here while visiting my son and his girlfriend in Bellingham. My son and I split a Meat Lovers and his girlfriend and my wife split a Grecian Formula.

The crust is substantial and does not wilt under the generous toppings. It has a nice crunch combined with a good chew. The toppings on the Meat Lover's were flavorful and combined very well. The one downside is that my wife felt that the flank steak on the Grecian was quite bland.

The staff was happy and helpful. The local outdoor market was wrapping up for the day and there was a decent sized crowd with everything from couples to large family groups.

“Best pizza in Whatcom and Skagit counties”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

We go to Fiamma once/week, usually for great pizza and salad, but the restaurant has other tasty offerings. They experiment with new dishes and combinations of flavors. There is a good wine selection and they now offer cocktails. A lot of families bring their kids here for lunch or dinner. The staff is well trained and accommodating. One can sit outside in nice weather. They have a nice selection of luncheon specials too.
