We went to La Fiamma based on the great TA reviews and were not disappointed!
The main draw is the wood-fired pizza, which creates a tasty chewy crust unique to this style of baking. Our pizza toppings were good, cheese was an appropriate amount, but by far the best part was the crust. Our salad was average and the garlic toast was very good.
The staff was rather mechanical about service, but they were exceptionally busy too. By 5:30 PM, there was a line of 20 people waiting for tables. The "pizza of the day" (squash, mushrooms) was already sold out - this seemed surprising for so early in the evening. Also sold out was a bottle of Italian wine prominently featured on the menu.
Overall an enjoyable dinner, and we'll return to La Fiamma on our next visit to Bellingham.
