“Good Place to relax weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014

we stayed one weekend in this hotel. Hotel built on nice place adjacent to Bellingham bay and views are awesome. We saw entire bay, boat dock and surroundings from hotel room. Amenities are also good.

To itsrkkishore,

Thank you for this short and sweet review. It sounds like you were able to enjoy one of our Signature Suites, maybe the Island Suite or the Owner's Suite, those have great views of Bellingham Bay. There is also the Lighthouse with the unbeatable 360 degree view from the top floor observation deck. Or maybe you were in an Executive Water? Those views vary a lot, some are bay views, others are boat views, and from some you can see the quaint park across the harbor. I hope to welcome you back soon, call 360.392.3100 or 1.877.411.1200 to book with our friendly front desk staff.

Sincerely,
Nicolette Dixon

We stayed here while on a visit to Western Washington University. I sure hope our daughter chooses Western so that we can justify returning to this awesome hotel! Scenery here, of course, is very nice. We didn't have an ocean view room, but still we had a view of the city and the harbor. I would choose that again. In the little spit that this hotel is on, there are several restaurants within walking distance. Even so, we chose to eat at the hotel. That was a wise move. Food was great and service was splendid. They have underground parking, which is a nice addition for the security conscious. There is a fitness center in an adjacent building, about 75 yards away. It is sufficient and has all of the basic equipment needed. My only complaint is that the room we had for the three of us had two full beds....it seemed like there room was plenty large for two queens, which would have made for a nicer night of rest.

Bottom line...if going to Bellingham, this is a spectacular choice. If not going to Bellingham, this would be a good place to go just for a weekend getaway!

Room Tip: We stayed here while on a visit to Western Washington University. I sure hope our daughter chooses...

To MikeSchrek,

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. I am glad you were able to enjoy our amenities and restaurant. I will forward your comments regarding the double beds to the General Manager. Maybe next time we can set you up in a suite with a king size bed and full size memory foam pull out sofa instead. Those rooms have water views, gas fireplaces, and air jetted tubs. Also, thank you for your kind words regarding the Lighthouse Bar & Grill, we have the best views in town, great food, and excellent service. I am excited to welcome you back again! Please contact the front desk to make your next booking, 360.392.3100 or 1.877.411.1200

Follow the excellent direction to the Hotel right on the water. Our suite was amazing with a fireplace, living room, bedroom and spa. Although there is a bar and restaurant on site, we chose to eat at Hearth Fire for dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Beautiful quiet location, amazing staff, treat yourself and get away . Stop by Fairhaven for one of Katie's Cupcakes!!

Room Tip: Much easier to just stay in and next to hotel for meals, sightsee Bellingham and Fairhaven before an...

An incredible waterfront luxury property with a wonderful happy hour in the bar topped only by the outstanding menu and delicious dishes in the dining room. What separates this property from any other is the staff that makes you feel like royalty during your stay and, when you leave, counting the days until you can get back again!

Room Tip: corner suite with view of bellingham bay!

We stayed in a deluxe suite and it had enough room for a football team, well it seemed like it. The view overlooking the bay was astonishing. We hardly heard any noises which made for a nice relaxing weekend getaway. Itwas the perfect home away from home!

Great hotel, Great location. Amazing rooms. We stayed in the Sunset Suite... terrific.

Only negative is the bar; which for some reason they decide to close at 9:00 despite having a full room. Second time in three weeks staying there the bartender closed it down with a full bar and folks continuing to come in. Seems like a waste, and put a damper on an otherwise great stay.

So me and the others she kicked out went next door. Their bar had other guests from the hotel that got turned away. We all laughed and had a nice glass of wine before bed.

This hotel is in a marvelous location just blocks from the village downtown area and on a peninsula so it has sunset views from all the rooms on the harbor side. The rooms on the upper floors have the views. There is underground, secure parking and there is a restaurant on the property. Rooms are beautiful with fireplaces and a bathroom with jetted tub and opening hatch so that you can see the harbor. Rooms have balconies. The downside - sigh - isn't there always a downside is that the service is very slow. In the restaurant it is excruciatingly slow. I sat for an hour before my food arrived. Food is good, not excellent but good.
