We stayed here for one night in mid-April on our way to Blaine. This was a nice Hampton Inn, though not really in the center of things. We knew this beforehand and so stopped in downtown Bellingham for dinner on our way to the hotel, which is a few miles north. The hotel is next to the I-5 and an RV park, just a minute or so from the freeway exit. Noise wasn't a problem for us since we always take a sound machine when traveling; I'm not sure it would have been a problem even without the sound machine. We've stayed in many Hampton Inns before, and this one seemed not quite as nice as some of the others decor-wise, but it was still fine. The bed was great, as usual, as was the breakfast, which was packed with people and included sausages, yogurts, muffins, biscuits, etc. The hotel has a pool, but it had been drained--not a problem for us in the winter (well, "spring," but we drove up in a blizzard), but some other guests complained about it. Not very many TV channels, but again, that was okay. The heater seemed a bit noisy turning off and on all night--it looked like an older system, though the control on the wall was high-tech. All in all, a good stay, though we might choose a more centrally located hotel next time around.
