“As cheap as it gets”

I booked this room as I live in Canada and wanted to travel down the previous night to get a 5am flight out of Bellingham, so all I wanted was a bed, ideally in a room with a door.

I just about got that. This hotel was ultra ultra basic. Bed was quite uncomfortable, Room was very tired with very worn, old carpets. Coffee machine didn't work.The lobby area looked even worse although the desk staff were very helpful and welcoming.

If you literally want a bed for a few hrs, this will do the job. Next time, I'll pay extra and stay at the Holiday Inn,,,,or I'll sleep in my car.

I was lucky to find the room when I did. The entire City of Bellingham was sold out because of the WWU graduation, so I took it!

When we got into our room, it was dissapointing. You could tell that the carpets were from the early 90's, the bedding was on this wooden thing made of carpet, and the microwave was so dirty, my father refused to heat his coffee up. We also noticed that there were no hangers and no ironing board as advertised by the choice hotels website. I tend to iron my jeans and sometimes a blouse when I travel so not having this was a huge damper.

Later in the evening, the entire bathroom floor was wet due to a leak under the sink. Luckily my friends who live locally gave me towels to clean up the mess. I was too exhausted to deal with it that evening, so I contained the situation then complained about it in the morning.

The food for breakfast wasn't gluten free friendly whatsoever. For those of us who are intolerant of gluten, wheat, and msg, we cannot eat most of what a continental breakfast offers. A piece of fruit just isn't enough for one to sustain. I ended up having to eat elsewhere that was friendly to gluten free patrons.

Overall, I wouldn't stay at this hotel again unless it was the only thing in town. I was grateful to have clean sheets and a place to lay my head. But to pay several hundred dollars for two nights, it really wasn't worth it.

It was clean, comfortable, your regular inn with continental breakfast. would stay again as its nice and close to Bellis Fair Mall and walking distance to another strip mall. Hot tub closed at 9 it would been nice to have it open till at least 10 p.m.

Had a crew of 20 stay here and two rooms reported live bugs. Manager said he would reimburse costs for decontamination of rooms stayed in during June 2012 it is now August. I foudn out he had rooms cleaned but not the rooms reported with live bugs. Reported this to the state because he continued to rent infected rooms thereby exposing all of Bellingham which has a ton of hotel hopping activity. This GM deserves to be fired and sued. Very disappointed in the customer service. The front desk staff is honest and should be hired by another hotel where their integrity is appreciated. When the employees know it is bad you should take note. Stay anywhere else and save yoourself the bites. Please feel free to check with the state board of health about the report filed. We won't even go into billing issues.

Thought I'd give this place a try because of it's close location to everything in Bellingham. Price cheap, but you get what you pay for. Little confused as front desk gave me password for wi-fi and it wasn't even required when I was in my room-signal strength seemed fairly strong. Did not have a comfortable sleep as bed made my back sore. Walls very thin, you can hear everything, TV old school, motel looking a little tired. Breakfast below average with fake orange juice(tang like), yogurt very sweet. Seating very limited so you need to get there early. Probably will pay more next time and stay in a higher quality motel.

On the weekend of a huge soccer tournament (June 22 - 24), this was literally the last room left in Bellingham. We arrived to find that a room "issue" meant that the first of our 2 nights would be spent in a room with one queen sized bed for 4 of us. (2 kids, aged 16 and 13 with parents). The staff were helpful in getting us first a cot which would leave one child on the floor (and there was no floor space left), then they got us a queen sized mattress for the floor so at least we all had a mattress to sleep on. They also gave us a $15 refund - not much but an effort at least. The room was average - needed some updating with very worn carpet and old bathroom fixtures but it all worked and was clean. The second night they moved us to a room that we expected in the first place - 2 queen sized beds. They also accommodated our request for a late check out so our son could shower after his last soccer game before our drive home to the Vancouver BC area. They would normally charge $10 per hour for these extra 2 hours so we felt they had redeemed themselves. The breakfast was light but adequate. The service was helpful and pleasant.

I stayed here for a business trip.
Great continental breakfast and clean room.
It's close to many attractions in the area.
