“Clean, reasonably priced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago NEW

The Coachman Inn was very clean and comfortable. The location was convenient. The front desk was polite, courteous, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast provided was not stellar, but still quite good and much better than other hotels in the same price range.

I have stayed in this motel before. It is very nice. Extremely clean, well managed and well appointed. The management is is extremely pleasant and helpful. The property is very well maintained. I will stay here in the future.

We stayed here recently on a visit to the campus. The rooms are well maintained and very clean, with comfortable beds. The motel is quiet and safe, with a laundry room for guests, a small fitness room with sauna, and a seasonal outdoor pool. There is a microwave in the hallway on each floor. The owner is a very nice guy who is as friendly as you want or don't want to be. The motel is within walking distance of downtown where there are several good restaurants and close to the campus if you can handle the walk up the hill. There is also good bus service to these areas and to the Fairhaven neighborhood which has more restaurants and shops. The owner works to make this a well run motel.

Not a great neighborhood, just a row of budget hotels, but the rooms were very clean, the fan is not attached to the light in the bathroom. Very pleasant cleaning staff and friendly desk folks. Better than adequate continental breakfast. Light and airy.

Room Tip: near to the highway listen first, if you might be sensitive.

We stayed the night before a 7:30 am flight to San Diego. The room really suited our needs with a king bed, fridge and bathroom. It was quiet, clean and comfortable.
The owner was very helpful with Airport parking tips and planning. Unfortunately we had to leave for the airport so early we missed the complimentary breakfast.
Close to Bellis Fair Mall, downtown Bellingham and the Fairhaven District. Enjoyed a marvellous dinner at Anthony's overlooking the marina.
We will stay again when flying out of BLI. Great value. Highly Recommended!

Basic Motor motel. Older units but clean and very friendly and accommodating staff. Great for quick stays. Also have a simple breakfast to get you on your way. A/C quite loud. Overall very good value, friendly and clean. Felt safe.

Room Tip: Request non smoking.

Based upon the internet pictures and reviews, I was looking forward to a great value. I spent 2 nights because it was too late to cancel, but I was unhappy. At check-in, the receptionist acted a bit more like a policeman checking me out than a welcoming employee. My room seemed run down--it's just a number of small things you notice. Example? The room door rattled every time someone entered our building. Doorknob was old and very loose--like the result of forced entry. On the plus side, they did have hard boiled eggs for breakfast, and a microwave (not in my reservation)--an older model--perched on a chair in the public hallway. After b-fast, I was using the lobby's complimentary computer. There was an Indian/Pakistani talk show on the lobby TV--very loud Hindi or Parsi, but no one at the front desk. Visitors came in and shouted for help, but no employee appeared. There were no sub-continent guests as far as I could see. After 10 months in India myself, I simply can't stand the shrill, rapid-fire ladies' voices. I cut my computer session short and left. Overall, everything worked as advertised, but I certainly won't return.
