This is, without question, the best taqueria on the Eastside. Huge burritos stuff with whatever you want, hand-assembled before your eyes.
The place is nothing to look at, inside or out, but it adds to its 'hole-in-the-wall' status. Old, mustached tables, old lighting, mis-matched plastic chairs, etc. all add to the feeling you may have discovered a gem-in-the-rough. There is outside seating, facing onto Bellevue Way.
Food in the place is the whole point in coming ...and you will not be disappointed. As you step into line, you place your order, each one custom-built before your eyes. My personal favorite is the roasted pork burrito. The regular size is all I can eat, and often to much, but great left-overs. As you walk down the line one person, or a whole crew, may participate in assembling your meal. For those familiar with the Toyota Production System, you will recognize a flexible work cell, that flexes from one operator, up to four or five operators, incrementally adding a member only when need to manage the customer's rate of demand. Very smooth and efficient. One you get your meal, you will be delighted with fresh ingredients, and tasty preparation.
Give Cada D's a try, you won't be disappointed.
