Andiamo is a small local restaurant which puts on a very nice face. Tables are covered with linens, glasses are in place, silver is appropriately wrapped in a napkin. The ambiance is very pleasant. One thing immediately becomes apparent and that is a perfumey smell, which turns out to be the restroom deodorizer. . .too obvious for those who have a good sense of smell -- not a good odor to combine with food. The menu is replete with Italian offerings and specials of the day. The presentation is nice, the service attentive . . but alas, this is not a gourmet restaurant. Vegetables are slightly overcooked and too salty. A sauce on chicken Marsala is a bit too heavy, pasta on the side is, well, "just pasta." They have a good enough formula that people will return for the overall experience, but it falls short of being wonderful.
