“Great food, super service, ok atmosphere.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013 via mobile

The food was really good, but we were limited to the menu only... no specials.

Drinks and drink selection were also impressive.

Service was top notch. Really refreshing to see the wait staff on top of everything.

The only minor complaint is the location. Nothing nearby to walk to.

Overall highly recommended for fresh seafood with interesting flavor combinations.

“Delicious Fish Dishes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

Say that three times fast! If you are looking for the freshest seafood, prepared in mouth watering recipes and are willing to pay the price, then look no further than the Seastar. Been here many times since they opened and always delicious. Service has never failed. Love the valet parking (optional to park yourself below in the garage). Nice restaurant for business meetings since the location is the ground floor of a high rise building in the CBD of Bellevue. My only complaint is that the interior decor is boring, like an upscale cafeteria. I guess that's great for business travelers; wish there was more ambiance. Recommend: Basil-garlic Grilled Shrimp With Pesto Beurre Blanc (but everything there is fantastic.)

“A Salmon Snob's Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

If you love fresh salmon like me this is certainly a restaurant to enjoy it. I've eaten here five or six times and the food is quite amazing, as the chefs really know how to prepare any seafood. However, I am a salmon snob and freely admit it and you won't find it prepared any better than at either one of the Seastar locations.

My wife had the alder wood grilled preparation and I had the cedar plank, which is my preferred way to cook fresh salmon myself at home. Mine is good, but it can't compare with how the Seastar chef's can do it and both preparations were delicious. Both came with a sticky rice and grilled asparagus, also excellent. For desert we shared an interesting ice cream especially made for the restaurant: vanilla, orange and carmel flavors and very yummy.

The Seastar is not inexpensive as our meal came to $135 including glasses of wine. The food however is worth every penny especially if you enjoy wonderfully prepared salmon, or for that matter any kind of seafood on the menu.

“Highly recommended and did not disappoint”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

Business affiliates in Bellevue recommended this restaurant and I was not disappointed. Valet parking, prompt seating and service, attentive waiter, great food and not too expensive. Crab soup, sea bass, sushi all very nice. Many other menu choices and my other two friends enjoyed their entrees as well.
