This place is often packed, and after eating there, I am at a complete loss as to why. You want some ramen, go to the store and get a package of the $ stuff (instead of the 20 cent stuff) add some hot water and enjoy. Save your self even more money that what their menus say. I can not honestly say the ramen was bad, but it certainly was not outstanding. What really upset us was the trickery they use. The various kinds of ramen soup was between about $8 and $12 a bowl. We just wanted to get a taste of the place so we ordered one of the soups that was listed on the menu as $8 a bowl. It came with three bases, salt, soy and a "rich' base. We asked the difference and we were told that the first two - salt and soy - were good, but the "rich" base was really much better. So we said that we would go with the "rich" base. Only then did the waiter tell us that would increase the price of the soup by 50%. That's right. The menu gave three choices and listed $8 as the price, but once we ordered the "rich" base, the price went to $12. We had already put in an order for a $6.95 tempura appetizer. Long story shortened a bit. With tax and tip two bowls of mediocre ramen and a few piece of vegetable tempura set me back $40. For that much money we could have gotten a couple of damn good meals at many other restaurants. We are sure that you can find better places to get much, MUCH, better food values.
