“fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

Stumbled across this place by accident and it had a massive queue out of the door and a great open view of the dumplings being made by 10-15 chefs expertly organised in a little glass fronted kitchen.

It has a great positive atmosphere, great for family dining and after work meals. The server was very helpful and really took time to walkthrough the menu.

The dumplings are fantastic and a must. Overall the food was excellent and the spicy wonton's the highlight. Really very good.

“Great service and food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013 via mobile

I love most asian food, especially dim sum. Sadly, my partner doesn't typically like asian food. He actually wanted to try this restaurant while we were in Bellevue based on the positive reviews online. We were both very impressed. The service was amazing. Lots of great small plates to share. Highly recommend!

“world famous soup dumplings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

Can hardly go wrong with dim sum, and with the easy access location in Bellevue it's even better. I will have to admit the quality of the food and overall experience was unlike going to the original in Taipei, but hey I'll take it.

“Go early or late but go often!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

Have worked our way through just about the entire menu. Favorites are wontons in spicy sauce (the sauce must have crack in it as it is addictive!!); the sautéed broccoli is amazing. The fried rice is offered with brown or white rice( love that); potstickers are fun too. The wait staff is busy but efficient and friendly. Sitting at bar us a great alternative for a small party too. It's a great spot. Best to go with a group so you can share lots of things!!

“Best Dumplings in Seattle”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

My favorite dumplings are the juicy pork dumplings and the wantons in special spicy sauce. The tofu salad also is great. The rice cake dishes are also a favorite.

They often have long lines. Either show up a little before 6PM or after 8PM to reduce the wait times. Especially on weekends. While they validate parking, The building makes parking free if you are leaving after 8PM.

I used to have to go to Shanghai to eat Din Tai Feng, so we are happy to have a location in Washington. Bellevue is a long drive for us, so we are glad that they are opening a store in the Seattle in University Village in late 2013.
