“A night at Red Lion”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

I was attending a convention in Bellevue and stayed at the Red Lion as recommended by the convention website. The hotel is close to downtown cites and activities. I did not use, but noticed others using the hotel shuttle service to and from nearby attractions. There is ample and complimentary parking at the hotel. The hotel is also close to the highway and has easy access. The hotel, itself is clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Instead of all the rooms being in one building there are separate buildings. There was a covered walkway connecting the building I stayed in to the main lobby, but I am not sure if this is the case for every building. One thing I did notice was it was easy to hear the opening and closing of others doors and noise from other rooms.

My dad was admitted to Overlake hospital for a week. We decided to stay at the Red Lion to be close. It was great to have friendly people and a comfortable bed waiting at the end of the day. The breakfast buffet was great.

This is a reasonably priced hotel. No frills but you get all the amenities. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Room service is great. Restaurant food is very good. Location is good. It's easy to find a room when all other. If name hotels are full.

There are two floors. Ask for a room away from the highway. I preferred the 2nd floor since I did not have much luggage. There is no elevator.

Walls are thin and one can hear any loud talking from around.

For some reason the housekeeping lags behind. I am not sure if they are managed well. Either they would not clean my room or they would come so only half the things. Even after I mentioned it to the front desk, things did not improve.

Gym is very small.

staff was very accommodating and got me a room on a busy night when a lot of hotels were full. Room was nice and it was a good location for the meeting I was attending. A convenience location and a good stay.

This hotel / motel is quiet, clean, comfortable and affordable with easy access to freeways and attractions. Parking free too. All in all, good value for the money...why pay more elsewhere?
They also have a loyalty program offer and offer an AAA discount on the rate.

This is my company's preferred hotel and they give great service to both business and pleasure travelers. I qualified for the business rate which included a free breakfast buffet, which was excellent.

Room Tip: I was okay with 2nd floor, but no elevator.

Arriving late at the Red Lion, after traveling all day, was a let down. Traveling wears you out and when I arrive at a 175 a night hotel, I would like to get a bite to eat and a drink. The Red Lion not only didnt have either, they also did not have an elevator! I dragged my luggage up 2 flights of stairs ( no staff to help) and made my peace with a vending machine bottle of water. Room was comfortable and clean, but lackluster for the price.

Dear Valued Guest,

We at the Red Lion Hotel Bellevue wish to thank you for staying with us. We understand fully what it is like to travel all for a long period and to not have food and beverage offerings when you arrive. We regret that this is too late for your visit but we are adding a 'Market Zone' - 24hr food and beverage offerings - to our newly renovated lobby which will be completed in early November. If we have the pleasure of playing host to you again please ask to see our General Manager, Danny Rogers. He wishes to meet you in person to express his regrets regarding our lack of services during your visit.

Thank you again for your patronage of the Red Lion Hotel Bellevue as well as for your thoughtful comments.
