My brother and sister live near this restaurant, and eat there very often. I live off of the island, but still eat there at least once a month. If a group goes to the Lynwood Theater for a movie, I always suggest a meal at Sawan Thai after the movie. Try to go on a Friday or Saturday evening, when they serve fresh rolls in addition to the fried spring rolls. They are extremely large and so fresh I wonder if they grow the vegies out back and just pick them right before making the rolls.
Service is friendly and helpful, too. Lunches are not family style, but are smaller portions of well-known Thai dishes and they include salad or soup.
My very elderly mother would rather eat spring rolls and rice with peanut sauce at Sawan Thai than almost anything else she could have anywhere(except ice cream with chocolate sauce.)
