We recently stayed at the Trinkle Mansion and absolutely loved it. This is the most beautiful home, wonderfully restored and so spacious. As gorgeous as the home is, it is surpassed by the loveliest innkeepers you could ever meet. Patti and Bernie are the epitome of Southern hospitality. They make you feel so welcome and comfortable that you feel like you are staying with old friends. We stayed in the Monroe Room, which was huge and beautiful. We had access to free wifi and experienced no problems with connections. The bed was a king with lovely sheets that afforded us a very restful sleep. Coffee is available at 7:30 a.m. and breakfast is served at 8:30 a.m. in a beautiful period dining room with lovely place settings. There were 11 of us and we all ate together. The breakfast menu was posted so we could anticipate the delicious offerings. And delicious they were! We started out with coffee and juice and a fresh fruit salad. It was followed by a fantastic Eggs Benedict with hash brown casserole. We were then served homemade warm apple strudel that was decadent. Patti entertained us with stories and answered our many questions regarding the offerings such as murder mystery nights and special events. My only complaint is that we don't live closer so I could visit more often! When we are in the area again, we will definitely return.
