We stayed at the Ramada for a stop over on the way to Carolina Beach. We paid $94 with tax for one night. We were way over charged for this place. The room was low end ok. The free breakfast was disgusting. Stay somewhere else.

Stayed there on 6/15/07. Clean room. Free Hot breakfast. Maybe a little over priced seeing its an older hotel. Have stayed in much nicer rooms for the same price.
We stayed at the Ramada during Bristol race weekend (3/25) with our tour group. The price seemed fair enough and was part of a package, but I understand the hotel prices have gone up and I'm at a loss to figure out how they can consider charging more for a stay there... I can't give it a neutral/average rating because of a few issues. The shower showed some mold between the tiles. They boasted complimentary coffee but for the 2 mornings I went down for a cup, the regular was empty and no-one was around to see about refilling. Being with a tour group we had to be on the bus at a certain time and we really could'nt wait around for somone to show for refills. Also the (buffett) breakfast was cold and unappetizing. The sausage gravy (that I always look forward to when I'm in the south) was runny and lacking sausage. The french toast was cold and hard. They were out of bacon when we were there. The service slow (remember we are all on a schedule). The next morning we went next door to the Travel America truck stop and actually had a very good breakfast buffett at the same price ($7.59). On the bed, the bottom sheet was only tucked in (not fitted) and was off the mattress (yuck) by morning. And both double size beds creaked loudly with every move waking up who ever was asleep.
As trivial as this may seem the garbage bags (inside the small room cans) were cheap and didn't stay around the rim, annoying as almost everytime I threw something in there I had to fish around for the edge and pull the bag up, or fish between the bag and can to retrieve what I had discarded. I know sounds trivial, but adds to the unpleasentness. I didn't take pics as I didn't see anything worth capturing on film. The good points, for a hotel full of people who needed to be showered and out by a certain time, I believe everyone had hot water. They allow Pets... big plus, but I didn't bring any. The people who worked there were very nice.
I think this could have been a nice place to stay if it was a little cleaner, which is basically a housekeeping problem. The drinking glasses were dirty which led me to believe they weren't changed from the previous occupants. The floor around the bed was gross. The bottom sheet was so small you could not tuck it in, so I felt like I was sleeping on the mattress with no sheet most of the night. The desk people were very nice and the attached restaurant was great!
We will never stop at this hotel again. The front desk personnel could have cared less if you stayed there and they "were not busy". We requested a ground floor room with fridge on the outside because we were leaving early in the a.m. They said they did not have an outside room with fridge available and gave us a courtyard room without a fridge. I guess this should have been our first clue. We were tired of travelling so took the room anyway. They no longer offer the continental breakfast in the a.m. and if you requested anything from the front desk, you were interrupting their conversation.
Upon leaving at 5 a.m. the parking lots around the hotel were basically empty, so having an outside room should have been no problem. There are too many clean, friendly hotels that offer nice little perks like the continental breakfast, coffee in the lobby, etc. for a lot less dollars to ever stop here again.
