We spent the night here on our way home. The weather and driving conditions were terrible, and we were glad we had planned to stop here for the night. The check-in went quickly and the young lady was friendly and very helpful. When we reserved the room we did not have the chance to enter that we had AAA, so when I checked in, we were asked if we had AAA, and then she gave us the discount. She said that it is always a good idea to ask for the rate even if we already have reservations....excellent point to remember!
The hotel was clean and bright. The rooms were large and the beds and pillows were excellent. We did adjust the fan to run constantly as we could hear some large trucks on I-81 and I-77 as they zoomed by. The hotel is located less than a half-mile from I-81 and easy to get to from both interstate highways, but you will hear the big rigs when they rev up. However, with the fan running, we did not hear a thing.
The breakfast was nothing special. There were egg/cheese and bacon or sausage biscuits in the wee fridge to warm up, boiled eggs, and the usual fruits, cereals and some muffins and breads to eat. The coffee was good and they had a couple of juices. We weren't expecting a grand dining experience, so we were okay with the fare.
All in all, it was a good place to stop and spend the night. We will certainly use this location again.
