“Good meat--but even better BREAD PUDDING!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

food was good, plenty to eat--but the owner talked us into the BREAD PUDDING, and it was to die for--even the men in our party found a new love--Dixie Bones desserts.

“Great even for a picnic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012 via mobile

Came in June and actually ate at the restaurant and found the food to be very good snd the service as well. The smokiness of the meat, the choice of the sauces, and of course, the sweet tea were all highlights. We went to them for our picnic needs this weekend and the packaging was incredible. They put little frozen packages of ice in all of the salads and the meat was in styrofoam in the box is so everything arrived both hot and cold! Great value, great food, and great attention to detail.

“Yumm”

The plate of Pork BBQ was amazing.
I recommend the potato salad as well.
It was really nice for them to give a bag of bones for dogs.
Awesome place!

“Best Ribs in Northern Virginia”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

I have been taking friends to Dixie Bones for years...I also love to buy pulled pork, ribs and cole slaw for an at home BBQ dinner. I am never disappointed in the quality of the food. Occasionally the ribs can be a bit dry but last weekend they were absolutely delicious. You have your choice of different sauces and all are good. If you like finger licking ribs and juicy pulled pork on an homemade bun topped with good cole slaw then Dixie Bones will make you very happy! The pecan pie transports you to pecan country in the deep south. The other sides are equally southern and well prepared. I am getting hungry typing!

“Not so great. . .”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

The last couple of times here, the pork ribs have been a little hit and miss. Kind of dry. Had to put a lot of sauce on it to get it to where there was some taste to it. The potato salad is pretty good, I think he really lays on the mayo. I can remember the ribs tasting better in years past. Then again, given the restaurant competiton, or more accurately lack thereof, in Woodbridge, it could likely decline a bit more and still be a top ten restaurant in the area.
