“Middle of the road Residence Inn”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

Stayed here last week for one night using points and while pleased with the overall quality didn't feel the property was up to the usual standards of a Residence Inn. Arrived one hour before the end of the Manager's Welcome and almost all of the food was gone and not to be replenished. The room was spotless but the furniture a bit tired. No dish soap, low on paper towels, kitchen counter not clean. The next morning's breakfast wasn't all that inspiring either. Would stay again but only with a discounted rate.

Everything was great, we stayed 3 days. Loved the fact that they served breakfast and also had social hour (which had differents food dishes daily). The only downside is that the spa was down. I also enjoyed working out at their fitness center

If you've stayed at other Residence Inns, this one should be no surprise. Average breakfast and "happy hour". The rooms are fine - ours had a broken A/C so we had to move to another room. Unfortunately I had to do all of the initiating on this - the staff was content to let us sit in a stifling hot room waiting for a mythical repair person. Cleaning service was spotty, we got skipped a couple of days and had to leave garbage in the hallway because it smelled so strong in our room. The pool was broken our entire stay. The fitness room had decent equipment in different states of repair. The best part of this hotel is the location - it is central to plenty of restaurants and attractions in Prince William County. Otherwise, nothing special about the hotel itself.

The staff is very friendly and they always have their 'Happy Hour' to join other hotel members in lobby for light fare. The rooms are quality, beds are comfortable and room service keeps the rooms clean. I also like that you can open the windows to get fresh air rather than run the A/C. I stay here every time I visit the area on business and will not hesitate to return. In addition, ther's always a lot of places to eat so your choices around here are endless.

My husband and I moved from CA to VA with two St. Bernards and an 18-year-old cat, so my opinions are heavily weighted in how pet friendly a place is.
We were here for a week while waiting for our furniture to arrive. We had a two-bedroom suite which was very well laid out - the bedrooms were on opposite sides of the living area. We had to set up two large dog crates, and there was still plenty of room to move around.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. We were in the back of the hotel, so on the nights it was cool enough we could open the windows and it was still very quiet.
On warm nights the A/C worked great.
There was a designated pet area, but upon check-in the man at the desk told me that at the end was a sort of unofficial off-leash area. It was great, some woods and a field. The dogs loved it. Of course it was near a freeway on one side, and a shopping center on the other, so only my dog with the totally reliable re-call got to be off-leash.
Very close to lots of restaurants also.

We have stayed here in the past in January the night before we get on the Auto train. Last month we stayed one night after being in DC for a few nights. We went to the National Marine Corp museum for the day - which is close by. I did not smell any smoke when I walked in or out. We stayed on the 3rd floor. (The 3rd & 4th are the pet free floors :) The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The only bad thing was the pool was closed because of a pump issue - but we walked across the street and were able to use the sister hotel's pool - which was fine. We were lucky enough to be upgraded from a one bedroom to a two bedroom which always makes me happy. There was also a small basketball area which made my son happy. (Bring your own ball). We will definately stay here again in the future.

Stayed for one night to finish out a business trip. Good location near lots of shops and the main highway. Good eateries and Potomac Mills mall is nearby with lots of options. The area is pretty busy with lots of traffic.

Overall, a decent place and the hotel served the purpose for one night.
