“All We Asked For and More!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2014

We rented a meeting room at this location this past weekend and were very pleased with the results! The room was set up just as we had discussed and included bottled water, note pads, and pens, which were an unanticipated bonus! Also, the property is in a great location on the Parkway just off of I-95.

We worked with Mary Ann Murray and she was just a joy to work with! We also met Evelyn the day of the event and she was a gem as well! Thanks, ladies! There was a gentleman who helped us add a table to the room and I apologize I forgot his name. Thanks to him as well though! Whatever we asked for was granted without grip or complaint.

We really enjoyed the property and will definitely be back in the near future...we're already planning our next event! Thanks for the everything, SpringHill Suites team at Potomac Mills!

Director of Sales, Mary Ann Murray was wonderful to work with…a total professional! She helped us get fair rates for a youth outing that was so very affordable and the kids thought they were staying as VIPs!

The staff at the hotel were absolutely the best. We felt so cared for with our key packets made and the front desk staff greeted us as if they were expecting us. I wish I could remember her name…I think I do remember her nametag said she was from Ghana? She was delightful and really helped make things so smooth!

Finally, the hotel itself is just lovely. The rooms are so well appointed and modern and so relaxing and restful! We were only there for less than 12 hours but even though some of our group said they heard noise in the hallway, our room slept wonderfully! I know there were others from our same conference in that weekend and really it seemed that everyone was truly enjoying their stay. Breakfast was great…convenient, delicious and a great variety. We especially appreciated the greek yogurt and other upgraded items that you typically don’t find on a select service buffet.

Thanks again for the hospitality. I’m not sure if we are doing the conference again next year or not, but if we do, we will definitely hope for your location.

Room Tip: I don't think there's bad room in this hotel!

First of all we; Springhill Suites Staff would like to thank you for choosing us as your home away from home, We are so glad that you and your group enjoyed your stay while your here. Mary Ann is always great people person, very professional and charming, as the other staff member; I think you were referring with Evelyn who's my Front desk at the time you and your group checked in. We are so glad that when you come back in the area, you will be choosing us again. Until next time and thanks again for your nice wording comment. We all greatly appreciate it.

My husband and I have stayed here twice and we enjoyed each visit. The hotel appears to be relatively new. I am very fussy about cleanliness and this hotel is clean and in good condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and comfortable. Each time we stayed, we had a room with two sinks and a large walk-in shower plus a large sofa, microwave, refrigerator, large desk and work station. The breakfast was included with the room and was more than adequate, something for everyone. Don't hesitate to stay here, this is a great hotel! Landora's extensive post says it all. Don't forget to tip the housekeeping staff!

We got everything we requested for...low floor, king bed and early check in with no hassle at all. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Our original reservation was only for 3 nights, but we decided to stay an extra night. Entire hotel was very clean. I loved how the toilet was in a separate room from the shower with a sink of its own. You could have peaceful, quiet, "me" time without anyone having to rush you to use a sink or shower. Breakfast was decent. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

The layout of the room was so thoughtful: the powder room with small sink separate from the shower room with a large vanity, meant multiple family members could be brushing teeth, showering, putting on make-up, etc. Both had pocket doors, which meant no huge area of the room taken up by swinging doors. Neither one locked, which is great with little ones. The nice sized closet had a regular door, a safe, and plenty of room, not just a tiny alcove. There was a mirror on the door, full length, plus a large mirror over the dresser, and mirrors in both powder room and bathroom. The tub was smallish, but I never use hotel tub, and it would have been plenty big for a child....it was extra large and nice as a shower, and there was a curved shower curtain pole, giving more room, plus some neat water jets that hit you in the stomach, making it easy-peasy to rinse off quickly. Nice, strong-jetted shower head. The sofa-bed had a chaise, so two small kids, maybe three could sleep on it. There was a nice, 7-8 ft. luggage rack in front of the window. The a/c/heat was not blowing, there is a regular thermostat on the wall: very nice. The desk/wall that separates the office/sitting area and the bedroom area, was made of panels that would slide back, so you could have a large open space, or, when closed, nice privacy. Each bed had a small, focused lamp for in-bed reading that would not light up the whole room (on the outside spaces, away from the lamp in between the beds.) There was a deep-drawered dresser, with white, plastic liner boards, which felt so clean....much better than a wooden drawered dresser: it felt very clean. We had three adult-sized kids with us, and everybody was very comfortable, amazing in one room. The fridge/microwave was set into a small, lighted built-in shelving set, with extra shelves, so you could easily store substantial amounts of snacks, cans of drink, etc. You could very easily have one or two cots or cribs in the room and still have LOTS of room to move around. I'm serious, my kids are very large, and nobody was cramped at all.
The decor was extra fun: very modern with light green, aqua, blue, bubble themes all over, so you felt like you were in a tasteful mermaid lair. The overall feeling was how clean and fresh it felt. There was shimmery fabric encircling two seating areas, in the very large lobby. NO teensy little lobby, here, it was great. Coffee, tea, 24 hours. The free breakfast was above average, at least. There were two hot chafing dishes, one day bacon, the next Canadian Bacon...and eggs. Eggs not good, but edible. THEN...oatmeal with all kinds of add-ins: walnuts, pecans, chocolate chips, dried cranberries, and more. Lots of yoghurt choices, juices, cereals, bagels, muffins, fruit, melon, hard boiled eggs, toast, peanut butter, cream cheese, instant grits, cheese slices and grated. There were ingredients to make a very healthy, varied breakfast. I was pleased that all this was on the healthy side: not a huge bunch of pastries and doughnuts, BUT there were some very good brown sugary muffins.....and plenty of cereal and granola for kids and adults to choose from. Ice on each floor, not always the norm anymore, but it was here. A nice little snack area where we came in the lobby, and an office area with a printer. Front desk gave us several menus of local delivery places, and allowed the delivery person to use elevator (you have to use a keycard to get the elevator to go up.)

The overall VALUE for us was phenomenal. Less than $100 per night, and free breakfast (worth at least $35 to us.) The location was perfect for us: we wanted to get in and out of D.C. for a day on the Mall, but did not want to stay in D.C. (we planned to ride the Metro in, but ended up just parking in D.C.for the day.) We wanted to hit the two huge used bookstores: 2nd and Charles and McKay's in Manassas.....and any other place we thought up, there in Woodbridge, even walked Potomac Mills....and this place was right there with all these.

The pool was very small, fine for small kids, not for an adult wanting to swim laps. We were not interested in this, but it was nice to have and it was indoors.

Every single person we met, was lovely. The manager, Krista; Evelyn, who checked us in and greeted us whenever we went by, and a nice young man whom I never talked to, just waved and greeted. The lady cleaning our room and the young lady who was mopping the first floor, was so sweet, kind smiles. The lady fixing breakfast was chuckling and happy, had to chase after a man who left his tea, and helped people get to their tables. It was so fun to eat in the hanging fabric area of the lobby, three TVs going with news, etc., but long booth seats on one side of small tables, very nice if you had a crew....or just wanted to relax.

Room Tip: We checked in about 3 or 4, so they were not getting all the traffic off the highway yet (this hotel...
