My wife and I were on our way home from a trip and were looking for one last romantic and comfortable night's stay. We chose the Old Waterstreet Inn based on its website. The website did not do justice to the place!
We made a last minute reservation, the morning of our stay. We spoke directly to Jeanne, the proprietor, and she greeted us like we were long lost friends! Jeanne made it clear that she would give us the privacy we wanted, but we were happy to have her company and found her delightful and informative.
The B & B itself is beautiful, with charming attention to detail. Clearly Jeanne has put a lot of personal attention into the home and it is beautiful! The location could not be better, right on the main road in a delightful historic town. We walked to the restaurants Jeanne recommended and found one, a French bistro, to be wonderful with a charismatic (and talented) owner.
We stayed in the Braeburn Room, which was spacious, clean and comfortable. Jeanne prepared us a healthy, interesting and delicious breakfast and emphasized that we should take our time getting on the road. We will certainly make every effort to return to the Old Waterstreet Inn because we have only fond memories of Jeannie and her beautiful establishment. We recommend it highly.
