“Short Review For A Big Bargain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

For lunch at the Dancing Goat, I Love---Love the All You Can Eat Soup & Salad Bar. Two soups, a healthy, nice mixed salad and (if you choose) a dessert. Very modest price of $6.95. We appreciate the great food offered for breakfast, lunch & dinner at this restaurant in Winchester's premier hotel (The George Washington).
Bottom line - I recommend that you try the hotel and the restaurant.

“Much more than meets the eye”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

We went to the Dancing Goat for our anniversary. I have to admit we went a bit crazy and ate a complete dinner from appetizer to desert. Everything was delicious!! I highly recommend this restaurant. By the way, I've also been there for lunch ande their lunches are also great.

“Unique menu items”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2012

Chinese lasagne was a light and flavorful dish and nothing like you would expect. No cheese or anything gooesy like your typical lasagne. Just layers of julliene vegetables and a spicy Asian sauce. Just enough heat.

“Very disappointing !”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

We stayed at the George Washington hotel that is attached, and the hotel was excellent. We had breakfast at The Dancing Goat. It had many good reviews so we were expecting good things. Service was slow and it must have been the waitresses first day as she was very nervous and confused. She did give pretty good service but there was one problem after another. The told us it was slow as there was a Santa Claus Breakfast in the hotel (not my problem!). Their system went down, so she took our order twice. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict well done. They came runny. The breakfast potatoes were cold. My French toast was OK but again cold potatoes. It took so long to get the meal, we did not want to wait for another try. They did take the eggs off the bill. I would suggest you eat elsewhere. I will not be eating here again.

“I'm a local, not worth the risk”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

This is the most unpredictable restaurant I have ever eaten at. Sometimes the food is good, sometimes it is unedible. On occasion the service is ok, mostly it is incredibly slow, and it is never exceptional. Unfortunately, I am forced to eat here for business on more occasions than I ever would if it was left up to me. The hotel is great, but there are so many better and more reliable restaurants within a block, that this is not worth hoping you get lucky.
