“Wonderful hotel and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

Was concerned about the hotel as when I called for a reservation the morning I must have gotten the person who'd been there all night. Absolutely no inflection in her voice thus couldn't tell if pleased or upset with the effort to have us stay there,

But as the only thing that would make this better is if it was at the exit ramp off the highway! Clean; many options for food and snacks; and all the amenities to make it very comfortable.

We stayed at this hotel for one night it was a really nice hotel. The Manager even come up to our room to help me connect to WiFi. The room and hotel are very clean and bright. We had a top corner room the view was really pretty. Peaceful night sleep. The hamburger meal and salad was very good. The food was freshly prepared and nice and hot. The only complaint we have is the bed was to firm us. The little touches such as firm and soft pillow was a plus.

I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for top floor corner room.

We stayed in room 225 and is was a beautifully appointed room with a spacious bathroom and a great micro/fridge combo. Room is pretty close to the elevator and we did hear our noisier neighbours.

The hotel has a nice little restaurant that serves dinner and the waitress was very attentive. We had the pork chops and they were a little overdone but generally the food was good.

Check in/out staff was very efficient and very good humoured.

Stayed overnight here while picking up a vehicle in Virginia. Attractive room, comfy bed and nice walk in shower. Ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant and it was reasonably price and good. There was a breakfast buffet for $10.95 but we didn't want that much food. would definitely stay here again.

Would like it if they recognized priority club members with small snack, or coupon for breakfast like other Holiday Inns have done.

We were vacationing in Northerm Virginia and settled on this property in part due to its high TripAdvisor ratings. The ratings/raters weren't wrong. Our great stay started with the friendly service at check-in. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and service oriented.

Rooms were very confortable, clean and fully equipped including a refrigerator and microwave. Bed was very confortable and even had a choice of labeled pillows (Firm or Soft),,,never seen that before. Good Wifi coverage. Had Direct TV/HD service which included a ton of channels including ALL the HBO channels.

We will be back in the area later this year and we will definitely try to stay here. A great stay at a very good value.

We stayed one night at this Holiday Inn while traveling through Virginia. The hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly, there was ample parking, the beds were comfortable, and the rooms were quiet. As far as a good night sleep, close to Interstate Route 81, in a clean and comfortable facility, this hotel can't be beat. We did experience one odd issue, however: we telephoned ahead while driving down Route 81 and were informed that they had no rooms. We then searched on Trip Advisor for a hotel in the area and we were able to book a room online at the Holiday Inn, even though the hotel told us they were sold out - strange!

Room Tip: If the front desk says they have no rooms, try booking online

We needed a place to stay for one night on along road trip, and Winchester is usually where we stay. I can say that this is by far the best hotel we have stayed at in this area, having spent a night at two neighboring hotels in the past! check in was quick and friendly, our room was very nice as well. The only issue we had was that the fridge was broke, so my husband did call the desk to report that, and they did offer to refrigerate any of our food for us. Since we had a cooler, we just filled it with ice and all was fine. As another reviewer pointed out, the pillows are very small, but they did offer firm or soft support, and we were so tired we both slept well. We too would have liked to have had a hot tub to enjoy, but all in all, we will definitely be staying here when we take our twice yearly trips south, and need a break! I would reccomend it highly, and there are restaurants nearby if you choose to eat off the property. Well done!
