I looked at several B & B's before deciding on Colonial Capital for our a highly anticipated trip to Williamsburg. My husband and I concluded that it was an excellent choice. It was a nice 3 block walk to the historic district. The room was a nice size and the king size bed, very comfortable. Our private bathroom had a small shower/tub, but otherwise was quite adequate. Having stayed at a few B&B''s, especially in older homes, we realized that bathrooms are usually small and didn't expect anything large and modern. Innkeeper, George, was a true southern gentleman. He was gracious and very helpful with everything from the purchase of our Colonial Williamsburg tickets to interesting conversation. He served delicious breakfasts all 3 mornings we were there. If you are a light sleeper the creaking of the stairs may be a problem, but did not bother us. We would most certainly stay here again.
