“Beautiful place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

My family recently stayed here the weekend of October 17-19. My husband booked this online. We did not really know what to expect when we got there, but upon arriving we were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful grounds. We went to the office to check in and the front lobby was gorgeous. Beautiful chandelier hanging above a curved stairway. We were impressed. We were checked in by two very friendly clerks. Very sweet and kind. We then went to our room and when we opened the door we were very impressed. The door opened up to a dining room with hardwood floors and a dining table with four chairs. It had a full kitchen with marble countertops. Two bedrooms, one had two single beds, my son stayed in that room and our room had a king size bed, a master bath with a jetted tub.My son loved the tub! We were very happy staying here and will definitely stay here again when we visit Williamsburg.

Stayed in a one bedroom suite. Everything was brand new and very clean. It included a full kitchen, living room with flat-screen and electric fireplace, separate bedroom, washer and dryer and a big bathroom with corner Jacuzzi. The pool was a good outdoor pool. They are currently doing major renovations to include a sports center with bowling alley and additional pool facilities. The bed was very comfortable. Do not go to the pitch for money off the attractions, not worth it. If you have a rental car, this is an excellent place to stay as it is conveniently located and is peaceful and nice at the end of the day.

My husband and I booked this for our one year wedding anniversary. We chose this place after reading about every review of hotels in the Williamsburg area. I wanted something cozy and comfy, with a fireplace as we love to have a glass of wine and just cuddle up in front of one. So the hotel with the best reviews with a fireplace was...well, this one. So upon checking in, they make you go to a separate area to get your parking pass. This is code for "we are holding your parking pass hostage until you let us pitch you a sale". I saw this one coming (yeah, Im the one who read all the reviews!), but my poor husband thought she was just another hotel worker and asked if there were any coupons for things to do in Williamsburg. I about rolled my eyes out of my head, and she jumped on that. She was holding coupons hostage unless we attended an 830am Sunday morning meeting about becoming an owner. Umm, its our anniversary, and checkout is at 10am. So you think Im gonna spend that last day I have to sleep in with my hubby to get up and go to that for coupons we needed the day before? Nope. Well I said no for us....and then she offered 100 bucks in cash if we went. I was like "nope, but thanks, can we just get our parking pass". So that was annoying. Well we got to the room, very nicely decorated...BUT THE FIREPLACE WAS FAKE!!!! It was one of those has logs but has an orange light behind it. You have got to be kidding me. I was embarrased for the place. After being mad about it, my husband just looked at me and was like "this is so pathetic its funny..."...so no cuddling by the fire. No romantic wine having in that room! Considering we booked this hotel just for that we totally feel cheated...but whatever..heres a breakdown of the rest of the room:
Den-Nice, roomy...they dont have cable, so you get to watch grainy tv...or a DVD..bring your own. Couch wasnt too comfy and didnt match the decor. Kitchen was nice and well stocked.
Bathroom-Was big..but really bad use of space. They have the washer/dryer in there, where they should have a vanity. You could park a fiat in that thing, but yet the only counter space is 4 inces to the left and right of the sink. Not good when you have makeup, hair stuff, etc and then also your hubs has to get in there!
Bedroom-Very nice. Loved the bed and pillows, super comfy. Blackout curtains worked pretty well.
Overall we would probably stay here again because we know wed have a good nights sleep..but it definitely wont be one during the winter or when we want to snuggle up by a fire! ugh, still makes me mad!!

Room Tip: Ask for a top level room...can hear everything above you.

Just returned home after spending 5 days at this resort. Smooth check in with Stacey and Doreen getting us settled into our first floor one bedroom villa. We were able to see the exquisite "Signature" villas on the presentation but we were very happy with our present level of points. Everything was so clean and all appliances worked perfectly. The bed was extremely comfortable and the variety of pillows suited our needs (he likes them thick; I like them thin). We able to sit on the small bedroom balcony that overlooked the woods and read! The resort was very quiet probably due to off season but we do not like crowds.
Three days to explore Williamsburg, Jamestown and finally Yorktown at our own pace.
Highly enjoyable and when the new complex is finished we will not have to leave the resort for a quick bite or grocery items.
Well done Holiday Inn Club! So glad we are members!

Room Tip: We were in building 400 on first floor. Very quiet.

We stayed here recently using our HIVC points for a relatively short 4 night stay. The setting is a bit away from all the activity but it's clean, comfortable, and quiet. The rooms are tastefully appointed and we never saw a bug. It has the usual room amenities like dishes, pots/pans, and silverware. Plenty of cleaning soaps, paper towels, and toiletries were left. Williamsburg is a great place to visit, and this resort is quite pleasant. As a regular timeshare vacationer, this place was perfectly fine and, for once, we really had no complaints. We used the washer/dryer, refrigerator, microwave, TV/DVD unit, and dishwasher with no problems. While this place is a short drive to most activities, we didn't find it a hassle and everything is easy to find and get to in Williamsburg.

Just got home after spending a week here where we stayed in the signature collection rooms on the third floor. The room was very clean and spacious with all of the amenities you would expect from a Signature Collection room. We enjoyed the quiet while sitting on the balcony although the balcony chairs could us some cushioning and the balconies are not screened in. The staff is very friendly. The resort is well located about 10-15 minutes from Colonial Williamsburg, the outlet shops, Williamsburg National Golf Club and some very fine dining options.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2014

We stayed here last week of August 2014 on a timeshare exchange. My family of four had a two bedroom unit on the top floor. The unit was very clean and well appointed: two bathrooms each with a jacuzzi style tub, full kitchen, washer/dryer, three flatscreen tv's in the unit, free wi-fi, nice sized balcony (overlooking the back side woods). The master bedroom had a king sized bed, but the second bedroom had two very small beds. The master bathroom had no shelves or storage area, but the second bathroom had a huge storage cabinet (??) The unit was a lock-out, and you could hear every word coming from the adjacent unit, which was very annoying.

The property consisted of a cluster of 4 story buildings (with elevators) around a shared parking lot with the pool central to all of the buildings. There was plenty of parking. The pool was small, no hot tub. A tiny exercise room was adjacent to the pool.

Overall the resort was clean and the staff friendly. But there is not a whole lot going on at this resort. They are building an indoor pool and activity center down the hill from the main buildings that should be opening soon, but that felt like a separate area, unconnected to the main section. A bit of a walk away.

If you are looking for a resort with amenities and things to do on site with kids, this is probably not the place - there are much nicer resorts in Williamsburg.

Pros:
Great location, right off 199, Richmond Road, and Moorestown Road.
Nice unit

Cons:
Small pool and no other amenities
Rooms lack sound-proofing

Room Tip: We always request a top floor to avoid the noise of footsteps/ jumping kids above us, but we still h...
