The facility has been in "transition" since we purchased there in 2006. Linens are worn/torn and very poor quality. We were visiting during the New Year holiday. It was cold and the fireplace was not working. The complex was not full and they did ot offer to relocate us to another unit. I love the area (Williamsburg) and the setting. The staff tries hard to compensate for the deficiencies with the facility. When asked for ammenities (can opener) they did their best to accomodate in a timely manner.

Thanks for your review.

Just to clarify, our resort is not in "transition" as you suggest. There are currently no major repairs and/or resort construction that would indicate our facility is in transition. General repairs and maintenance are necessary to any hotel/resort operation; this is a 'necessary evil.' While new ownership took place over a year ago, this process has been seamless to our vacation owners and other guests. We suggest you contact our Customer Care office at (757) 941-1540 to discuss your ownership program in greater detail.

The above notwithstanding, management has taken necessary action to replace old linens and terry. This is an ongoing process.

The weather in December/January is quite cold in Williamsburg and we apologize that your fireplace was not operable. Our maintenance staff is available to respond to any broken and/or malfunctioning room amenities.

We appreciate your remarks about the staff. While we appreciate and respect that your opinion suggests that our resort has 'deficiencies', we are very confident that we are delivering a first-class vacation experience to owners and guests alike.

Lovely and convenient place to stay. Staff was great and accommodating. This is a timeshare but we received no hassle to attend a sales breakfast, just an invitation hung on our door.
The one bedroom condo we rented was cozy and perfect for our needs to celebrate Christmas in Williamsburg. I came prepared with a lot of cooking utensils, pots, and casserole dishes, but the kitchen had everything needed to prepare our Christmas meal and beverages. The unit provided dishes and glasses for 4 people. The wide preparation counter also served as a table for 4.
The bedroom was large with very comfy bed, dresser, TV and double closet. The deck off of the bedroom had chairs and faced the woods providing a peaceful setting and quiet. The bathroom was roomy with a jetted tub/shower and a washer and dryer! The livingroom had a sleeper sofa, a loveseat, coffee table, side table, console with TV and gas fireplace that could be set on ambiance. Definitely didn't need it for heat.
As stated by previous reviewers, the pull out sofa had a spring mattress that was so uncomfortable we had to go out and purchase a memory foam 3" topper just so the young adults could sleep...they ended up on the floor on the topper!
Another reviewer noted the heat and I'm glad I remembered reading about that. When cooking the exhaust fan was required to be on, but the fan didn't exhaust the air out, and blew the heated air back into the livingroom making it unbearably hot so we had to open the windows and deck door to be able to be comfortable whenever cooking was done. Turning the heat control down to a constant 63 helped.
Other than those two inconveniences we loved this property and would stay here again. It was located on the northern side of Williamsburg, which provided a much quieter setting than many of the other accommodations. It was near major roads and a short 10-15 minute drive to all that Williamsburg has to offer.

Colonial Crossings is a very nice place to stay. The property was very peaceful and the staff was very helpful and friendly. There are many area attractions to keep you busy or if you don't want to go out, the timeshare is so cozy that you don't mind staying in for the day. The timeshare was very clean and modern.

The place is expansive and newly furnished but we're writing mainly to say that Stacey, who works in customer service, is awesome! He is kind, friendly, and goes out of his way to make people feel at home. 7 stars (out of 5) for Stacey!

Received a living social deal for a weekend stay as a Christmas gift. The location was great, room was clean and spacious, and the one staff member we came into contact with during our stay, Stacey, was very helpful and friendly. The only complaint I had was that the walls were extremely thin in our end unit and we could hear everything going on in the unit next to us, including the dice they were rolling constantly playing their board game as if it were happening right next to us. This could be because we had a room that had a door in the living room area so you could rent out 2 units and combine them. Luckily the family staying next to us weren't loud and went to bed around the same time we did or else the noise levels might have posed a problem. Despite this minor setback, the unit was beautiful and we had a great stay. Will definitely stay there again in the future.

DON'T COUNT ON A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP HERE. My kids kept waking up from the uncomfortableness of the pull-out sofa. We could hear everything being said by the family next door. Beware of a low price, but they add-on for everything. I won't stay again. The rooms were plain and small.

Thank you for your review.

We regret that your experience did not mirror that of many other vacationers. Our prices are very friendly to budget vacationers. However, some guest services may require a nominal additional fee. Charging for additional services is necessary to continue to provide exceptional guest experiences and keep our rates competitive. Please note that these services are always optional.

While we missed the mark on your recent stay, we do appreciate your remarks as we use these in our operational meetings.
