“A true jewel in Williamsburg”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

This inn is a true jewel. Run by a very kind, welcoming, and eager to please couple, and perfectly situated near the College of William and Mary campus and within easy walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg, this inn is perfect for a romantic getaway in Virginia's historic triangle. We loved it from the first moment and plan to return when we can.

Rooms are highly decorated with everything from past presidents, grounds are ran down. One of theist expensive b@b I have stayed at for what. We had the bottom room in the carriage house which is newly added on to side of home. You could hear every guest coming going walking and using bathroom. The breakfast was average and afternoon baked goods came from a pack, plus cheep nasty wine or port. What a let down.

Dear Jogo,
It is funny how some guests feel that it is OK to totally smear the reputation of 2 hard working owners. We are not hotels, but independent hard working small business owners who work 24/7 to provide the best accommodations possible to our guests.
The fact that you had an attitude since breakfast, left your table a mess, and then went home to write a nasty review is extremely hurtful to us.
We do nothing more than attempt to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We never serve package afternoon snacks...They are all homemade by me so your comment was extremely personal. In regards to the breakfast, I just don't consider "stuffed French Toast" average, but we all have our own opinions. I am sorry you didn't care for the wine, it is complimentary! If you found our grounds run down, maybe it is because you came in the midst of fall with our 400 year old tree dropping thousands of leaves and the seasonal plants slowly dwindling by the day.
I am sorry you heard guests coming and going, we are just a small Inn and obviously do not have the insulation like a Hyatt.
In closing, we are a themed bed and breakfast and yes, all of our rooms are decorated after Presidents. It is clearly stated on our website what we are, yet you chose to slam us because it was not what you wanted. We had a house full of guests the same weekend you were here, who had an awesome experience. We are sorry but maybe your next getaway should be to a hotel. We wish you the best and have a wonderful holiday season.

We spent the first night of our two week vacation at the White House B&B and found it to be an excellent way to start our tour of historic Williamsburg. The host were very gracious and accommodating. The accommodations and breakfast were fantastic.

This is a lovely place to stay whether visiting the College of William & Mary or Colonial Williamsburg! First of all..the location is perfect! William & Mary is directly across the street and was so convenient for our daughter's school visit. Each evening we took a casual stroll to Merchant's Square for dinner. Plenty of wonderful restaurants to choose from! While at the White House our accommodations couldn't have been more comfortable. John and Debbie were such gracious hosts! Friendly, witty, knowledgable, and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well equipped. The breakfast was delicious each morning and the other guests were interesting and friendly too! Warm and welcoming places tend to attract the same... :) Super find! We'll be back!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Lincoln and Washington rooms..They are right next to each other which is great for...

We chose the Williamsburg White House B&B based on previous reviews. We were not disappointed. We chose the Washington Room & it was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. Breakfasts at the B&B are top notch. Their baked oatmeal was out of this world! The innkeepers, John & Debbie, were very personable & gracious in offering advice on our daily excursions. The walk into Colonial Williamsburg was only 6/10 of a mile. Overall we had a wonderful time and highly recommend this B&B.

Room Tip: The house is set back from the road & there is very little noise from the street. The Washingto...

We stayed at the Williamsburg White House for 3 nights over the Columbus Day weekend to celebrate our ten year anniversary. BLUF: This place is awesome! The innkeepers, John and Debbie, could not have been nicer or more gracious. Breakfast each morning was outstanding (must try the stuffed French toast and baked oatmeal). Late afternoon wine and treats were available in the parlor, which was fun to partake in before heading out for the evening. We stayed in the Lincoln Bedroom, which was fantastic. Big king size bed, two full bathrooms and the replica of Ford’s Theatre as a reading room was too cool. The house was very quiet; we hardly heard anyone else despite full occupancy. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a top notch B&B in the Williamsburg area.

Our entire family spent the entire weekend at this fantastic B&B. We rented the entire home and Deborah and John made our 50th Anniversary Weekend just fantastic. Their assistance in planning the event coupled with their hospitality during the weekend made this a very memorable time for our entire family. The wines and baked goods from their oven made the evening 'Cocktail Times' a delicious time for the family to come together after a fun day at "The Square' Our daughters wanted to do special things for us in the morning and John and Deborah were very accommodating.
Would we ever go back to the Inn - IN A HEART BEAT !!!!

Room Tip: The décor of the rooms matches the President they are named for.
