My husband, myself and our three teenaged children stayed at the Comfort Suites Bypass just a couple of weeks ago. Everything... from the cleanliness of the rooms, the comfortable beds, the courteous staff, the pool, the hot tub, the free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, the laundry facilities... made our stay just beyond anything that we ever expected. Though, they do not have a restaurant on-site, they do have a large eating area open for breakfast. But no worries!!.... Cracker Barrel and Golden Corral are located within about 300 ft. from the property. Their rates were outstanding considering all of the amenities that were offered. The staff went out of their way to ensure that all of our needs were taken care of. We have stayed at other hotels in the Williamsburg area, but believe we have finally found one that we will not have to think twice about returning to. As a matter of fact, we are making plans to stay there again on our next trip down to the Williamsburg area in July. Truly outstanding!!

The price was definitely right for this spacious, clean and well-maintained room. The bed was quite comfortable. The décor was not to my liking, as I would describe it as ultra-modern, with bright, garish, and clashing colors everywhere, including the carpet. I would not advise checking in if you have a hang over. However, it was a pleasant stay in spite of the décor.

Really happy to have comfortable queen beds. With our family of six we had room to move even with our bags scattered. Lost power the last night due to a storm. Room stayed cool overnight and although power was not back until 6:30am, breakfast was ready when we were.

We are a family of four and arrived on a Friday early and were given what we figured was probably the worst room in the hotel at first, room 211 (see our tip). Before we even went in the room we asked for another room. And since we were meeting friends we asked for a room that we could have as adjoining rooms. Staff was nice enough, and accommodated us with no questions asked. Our new room was a little dirty - crumbs on the couch and coffee table needed a good wiping down. The room was quiet and the beds are comfortable but really high which always scares us a little with our small children who still roll dangerously close to the edges of the bed. For a newer hotel the couches seem a bit well used or maybe they are just not very high quality. The pool was nice, we were two families and had the whole thing to ourselves for about an hour in the late afternoon. Overall, next time we come to Williamsburg, we will probably look around for a different hotel.

Room Tip: Careful about getting room 211 - it has the elevator exit on one side wall and the open large lobby...

Arrived on a Friday so room rates increased due to week end. Agreed reasonable room rate of $119 Friday/ Saturday $79 Sunday.
Being a new hotel, rooms were excellent and beds very comfortable. Location allowed convenient dining in locality and enabled easy access to Colonial Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown. Very nice indoor pool and hot tub.
Excellent hotel and stay, mention must be made of reception staff, especially Miriam who went the extra mile.
Would have no hesitation staying again.

Room Tip: Buy the " Citizen Passport" to access the 3 Colonial sites.

Nice room, comfy bed, clean, microwave and fridge spacious enough to hold leftovers.

Breakfast was plentiful - waffles, cereal, assorted breads, eggs, sausage, juice, coffee, hot cocoa. Kids thought it was great. It got a little repetitive, but worked.

Staff was friendly and personable. Our last night power went out from about 5:15 PM until 6:30 AM. Staff was friendly and at 7:30 when we wandered down for breakfast, he was so organized you'd never have realized there had been an issue the night before.

Pool and hot tub were slightly cloudy, but fine.
