“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2012 via mobile

My family and I stayed here for 5 nights to visit Busch Gardens & Water Country USA. Upon checking in..the hotel was visually clean and smelled wonderful. Hotel clerk at the desk was friendly and checking inn was quick The decor of the place was unique for a hotel but we loved it as it was not the usual neutral tone like most hotels. We had the 2 double bed room and it was clean. Carpets were clean, shower and tub seemed to be properly wiped down as everything had a shine . Plenty of vanity space in the bathroom for cosmetics and such. The hotel supplied plenty of linens in the bathroom. Plenty of wall outlets as I had quite a few portable devices that need charging. The wifi was good...did the job. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were exceptionally clean as I used it for the end of the day swim. The breakfast buffet was great. Eggs, sausage, hash brown, waffles, bagels, toast, danishes, fruit, cereal assortments, coffee and tea. What more can a hotel serving you a breakfast in this way offer you. I thought it was great. It sure saved me a chunk of money for 5 mornings. Finally the location from Busch gardens was about 10 minutes aproximately. Whether you are sightseeing at many of the tours in Williamsburg or going to Busch gardens...I thought this hotel was a great experience. I plan on coming back to Williamsburg in the next year or two and I intend to stay here again..without a doubt.

We really enjoyed our 1 night stay. Room clean, quiet, bed very comfortable, AC worked great, and plenty of power outlets for all the chargers. WiFi was difficult to connect to but really did not need.

Would stay here again without any hesitation.

Still have trouble with hotels that are not green. No recycling at this site?

We stayed here one night to check out William & Mary college for our son. Great location to the college (less than 10 minutes) and I was very impressed by the entire experience. As stated earlier, it's not a 5-star resort but I was struck by how modern the entire hotel is. Lots of art deco colors throughout and modern furnishings in the lobby coupled with a very welcoming front desk. First impression great!! Rooms were very roomy with small fridge which is a plus and a small separate TV viewing area. Very clean and spacious and very modern decor. The pools and spa were great, nothing fancy but nice spa. Breakfast is ok but as stated very busy and I was lucky to grab a table. Most people lugged their food back to the room. They could use another waffle machine!!! Location wise their are plenty of restaurants, shops, etc. within walking distance so I will defo be back should the kid choose W&M as his college. Very impressed. Wifi was spotty so we went to the lobby and chilled out there and got great reception.

Room Tip: I think the closer to the lobby the better the wifi.

We just returned from a stay in Williamsburg at the Comfort Suites Bypass. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel. The front desk staff are very pleasant, the breakfast was great and the room was immaculate! We were traveling with two adults and three children and there was more than ample space for all of us in the room. We would definitely stay here again!

We were very impressed with this hotel. It's like new. Very clean, nice convenient location. 10 mins. to Busch and even less to water country. 5 mins. to the Prime Outlets. Breakfast was ok, sausage was like imitation sausage. Long lines to make waffles. Definitely recommend going to breakfast early, lot less people... after 8am gets busy....

Room Tip: I recommend bringing your own pillows... Hotels offer half pillows nowadays and we can't stand e...

There are many positives about this hotel. Rooms with two queens also have a sofa bed, which provides extra space for lounging in the room, as well as more comfortable sleeping options for families with kids. The refrigerator is decent sized. Our room wasn't spotless, but it was very clean. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. It is a good value for the price.
The fact that this hotel was sold out for the 5 nights we stayed there presented some minor challenges. It meant that the hallways and elevators seemed to always be in need of cleaning. The breakfast area is small, and there was not remotely enough space for the guests to eat. Lines at breakfast were very long. It really doesn't make sense that a hotel with this many guests would offer free hot breakfast but not have the space to accomodate its guests.

Traveled with my family of four. When we first arrived, we noticed a large pile of wooden crates in the parking lot. It was an eye sore. The check in was great as we were able to check in about an hour early on the floor of our choice.

The mattress on the pull out bed was horrible. While on the mattress, you could feel the metal bars through the mattress. It was very uncomfortable. We put the King comforter on top of the mattress to cushion it some. The WiFi was spotty on several occasions. I asked the front desk if there was a problem and was told that it was probably the ISP.

The temperature in the breakfast area was very warm. This hotel breakfast seems to be very popular and seating was limited. The staff often couldn't keep up with the demand for food. Items such as the pastries ran out quickly and were not replaced in a timely manner. There were always long lines for the two waffle makers. Perhaps a third waffle maker should be added. One one occasion, I noticed moldy bread and saw that it was removed. Coffee was very good and well stocked. The cereal was good and milk was replaced often. The tables needed to be cleaned off more.

The carpet in the hotel room was dirty and needs to be shampooed. Housekeeping did a good job with replacing towels. A few times, the housekeeper arranged my daughter's stuffed animals in a cute way on the bed. It was sweet.

We didn't use the indoor pool, exercise room or arcade, but it was nice that they were available. The location of the hotel was very convenient to restaurants and shopping. It was very close to Colonial Williamsburg.

We would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Checkout was fast and easy and the gentleman at the front desk was friendly.
