“Great family day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

We loved Busch Gardens! It is a beautiful and well maintained theme park. Roller coasters were great and this was a good time to visit as there were few crowds. The food was much better than most theme parks.

“Good Time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

My son had a good time. He is 12. We went on a day that happened to be 98 degrees. Who knew ! The rides were fun, no long lines. It was exhausting. The park is huge so be prepared to do lots of walking. It was easy to find the car which I liked. Each part of the park is divided into countries (we parked in Italy 38). Food was awful but you can't expect salads or filet mignon at an amusement park. Souvenirs were pricey as usual but found a store that had 50% off, got a tshirt for $8. The slushies were good on a hot day. We were there from 11:30-3:30. We couldn't walk anymore in the heat but had a good time.

“Excellent Amusment Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

Very clean, lots of rides, and beautiful. My family had a fun time. A day should be enough to spend at this attraction. Make sure you visit the different countries and get a taste of the food.

“Beautiful park and great rides”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

It's hard to describe how nice Busch Gardens is compared to other amusement parks. All the wonderful landscaping and the rolling hills and covered bridges - it really is a pleasure to walk around. Yes, the 'villages' are a little hokey, but it's fun and pretty. The Griffon is, hands-down, the best roller coaster - we could not only ride it all day, but would be happy to just stand and watch it run! The nice thing about this park is that they still have some shows and the Pet Shenanigans is fun for everyone and the wolf show is so cool, just to see those amazing animals. My huge complaint, which others have mentioned, is the NO BAGS policy on rides. How you can make people put their bags in one-time use lockers is beyond me. All we want to do is carry our sunscreen and other items and to not have bins at the rides like every other park in the country is beyond me. And they say to leave the bags with non-riders, but our group didn't have any non-riders! That is a rip-off. Overall, a fantastic park with lots of great rides.

“Nice Park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

We bought bounce passes on the Water Country Website which included unlimited entry to Busch Gardens, Water Country USA and Colonial Williamsburg for a 7 day period. It also included parking for Busch Gardens and Water Country USA ($15 per day). This ended up working out for us. You save some money by buying the tickets on-line prior to your visit. We visited Busch Gardens one evening, one morning and one afternoon. The evening was the least crowded, I recommend going in the evening for a better experience.

If you go in the morning, I recommend being there right at the opening at 10am.

We went one afternoon because we had booked the "Clydesdales and Collies" experience. We enjoyed seeing the animals and learning about them. The afternoon is not the best time to visit the park on a hot and humid day. It was so hot and crowded that it was not very pleasant in the afternoon.

This was our first time at Busch Gardens and we all enjoyed it.

Loved It: Fearless daughter that loves upside down rollercoasters. Favorite: The Griffin.
Liked It: Husband and son that prefer rollercoasters that do not go upside down. Favorite: Apollo's Chariot.

I did not really care for the ride that is compared to "Soarin" at EPCOT. It is different, "Soarin" is much better in my opinion.

We ate funnel cakes and they were good. Other than a few frozen treats, we chose not to eat at the park based on experiences from other Trip Advisor members.

The last couple of visits we parked in an area that was services by the trams. Trams came often.
