My boyfriend and I stayed at the Bentley Manor Inn for two nights when we visited Colonial Williamsburg. The Inn was amazing from the room to the breakfast to the management. Fred and Jane, the innkeepers, were friendly, professional, and just lovely people. The Inn is beautifully decorated with everything freshly painted and perfectly matched. As the Inn is only 1-2 years old, it's charming, but not falling apart in any way, and everything works.
Breakfast is served from 8:30-9:30 am and when we arrived downstairs each morning we found a lovely table set for us. Breakfast started off with orange/cranberry juice and some fruits with yogurt and granola on top. During our two breakfasts we were offered a choice of: blueberry pancakes, cinnamon raisin french toast, eggs any way including omelets, fresh biscuits, and sausage. Everything was scrumptious. During breakfast we were able to talk to Fred and Jane about the best sights to see in Williamsburg - they were friendly and very helpful. We especially liked Revolutionary City at Colonial Williamsburg, which we found out about thanks to them. Each day after returning from sightseeing, we found bottles of water and homemade chocolate chip cookies waiting for us.
We loved our room (the Thomas Jefferson) and there are some that are even nicer. Check the pictures we've posted. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was beautiful. The bathroom was normal size - definitely not cramped - and we had no complaints at all.
In short, we wholeheartedly recommend the Bentley Manor Inn for a wonderful stay in Williamsburg.

Our first time in Williamsburg and we had a great accommodations at the Bentley Manor Inn. The Innkeepers were very personable and helpful. The Bed and Breakfast was extremely clean, comfortable and it was nice to have a place to sit and talk in the evening and know there were treats as well...waiting for us. The banana pancakes alone were worth the visit...8-)

We discovered the Bentley Manor Inn after I received a gift certificate as a parting gift from my co-workers.
We were warmly welcomed by our host Fred Garland.
The Inn is tastefully decorated and our room was spotless and beautiful. Breakfast was prepared by our hostess, Jane. All was home made and delicious.
We enjoyed our stay at the Bentley more than any other B&B we visited in the past 20 years.
I would not hesitate to recommend the Bentley Manor Inn to anyone who will be traveling to Virginia.

The Bentley Manor Inn was wonderful! My wife and I were looking for a nice getaway, and we found it. The food was wonderful, the beds were comfortable, and after a long day of walking around, it was great to come into the parlor for a glass of wine. It was a wonderful stay, we will no doubt be back!

This was our first trip to Williamsburg and thanks to Jane and Fred Garland, the hosts helped make the visit very pleasant and memorable.

The property is mid forties and has been very tastefully updated with a lovely communal dining/breakfast room and lounge area. We stayed in the John Smith Room which was decorated to a high standard and had the benefit of a flat screen TV and a very comfortable queen bed.

The best part of the stay was the breakfast, freshly prepared as soon as we sat down with a sensible choice of entrees and a chance to talk to other guests and Jane and Fred, which on one morning we did for over an hour as they were so friendly, we felt as if we were part of the family

The Inn is only a short walk to the William & Mary campus, and colonial Williamsburg was only a short stroll further and suited our needs perfectly.
Overall it exceeded our expectations and we will return some day

Oh and by the way Jane and Fred, the offer still holds if you fancy a vacation in Orlando, Fl in Oct 2009 then dinner will be on us to celebrate my 50th
