“A gem in Williamsburg”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

My husband and I spent three nights at the lovely Bentley Inn. Jane and Fred and lovely host in a charming B&B. The choice of breakfast which was delicious and made to order was a real treat. The room had all the items to make one feel at home. The wine and cookies waiting for us when we returned from a day do touring was a welcome surprise and a lovely touch. We truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend. Cheers, Steve & Marla, Cincinnati

Room Tip: A must stay in Williamsburg.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Bentley Manor. Fred and Janet are great hosts. The rooms are very nice and the choice of breakfast dishes is a nice touch, especially the sweet option.
The walk to Colonial Williamsburg is not too far. Parking on the street in front of the inn is no problem on this quiet street.

My girlfriend and I decided to go to Virginia for a nice summer vacation, and instead of staying at a hotel in Williamsburg we decided on the Bently Manor Inn. As we both have never stayed at a B&B we were a bit nervous since we didn't know what to expect.

As soon as we walked in Fred was warm, welcoming, and informative. The room, The Governor Berkeley, was the perfect size with a large attached bathroom and large shower. It was extremely clean and comfortable.

Every morning when we woke up for breakfast, we had different choices to choose from... and might I point out that Jane is a fabulous cook. Apple and sour cream pancakes, cinnamon raisin french toast, and sweet potato pancakes. Each breakfast involved great conversation... but the best thing is that Fred and Jane realized we were there to do tourist things so after awhile they would "kick" us out with a smile (we heard bad stories about other B&Bs where the hosts always talked and wouldn't let you leave).

One more thing I would like to point out, Colonial Williamsburg is in WALKING distance. Bush Gardens is only a ten minute drive. In other words, this is the perfect place for a Williamsburtg vacation. We cannot wait to go back.

Wonderful B&B nestled in a quiet neighborhood yet walking distance to all things Williamsburg. Inn keeper, Frank, was very attentive and available to answer any questions. Filled us in on how to get around and things to do right when we checked in. Room was comfortable and clean with big fluffy pillows! I wish the toiletries included conditioner and lotion and were a little higher end but that's being really picky. Breakfast was good as well.

We have been to a few B&B and the Bentley Manor is at the top of the list. We were greeted by Fred as soon as we arrived. He told us all about Colonial Williamsburg and other places we would enjoy. He showed us our room which was just beautiful and so very clean. We met the most fabulous cook there is "Jane". The breakfast table was just so elegant and the food was out of this world. This is a place you must go. Thank you Fred and Jane for making our time just so fabulous.

This was the first B&B my wife and I had ever visited. It was really easy to reserve our rooms online, and I was able to reach the owner via phone when we found out we were going to be about an hour late.
We arrived and the owner (Fred) gave us a brief tour of the house and its history. He gave us some advice about events that were going on in Williamsburg that weekend, and offered us discount tickets to Colonial Williamsburg.
Honestly, it was almost a shame that there was so much to do in Williamsburg. We only spent a few of the daylight hours at the Bentley, but my wife and I were very happy to get "home" every night. Breakfast was delicious (Thanks Jane!) every morning, and the conversations with the owners and the other guests were delightful and stimulating.
The rooms were beautiful and spacious (same goes for the private bathroom). The bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean and orderly.
It's very obvious that the owners put hospitality and guest comfort ahead of all other qualities. We look forward to spending future anniversaries at the Bentley Manor Inn.

Recently stayed at this wonderful B&B. The Inn and our room was beautifully decorated. The homemade cookies and wine in the early evening were a great touch. Jane made a delicious breakfast every morning while Fred gave us interesting conversation and information about the area. The Inn was in a convenient location within walking distance to historic Williamsburg. They were the perfect hosts.
