My girlfriend and I decided to go to Virginia for a nice summer vacation, and instead of staying at a hotel in Williamsburg we decided on the Bently Manor Inn. As we both have never stayed at a B&B we were a bit nervous since we didn't know what to expect.
As soon as we walked in Fred was warm, welcoming, and informative. The room, The Governor Berkeley, was the perfect size with a large attached bathroom and large shower. It was extremely clean and comfortable.
Every morning when we woke up for breakfast, we had different choices to choose from... and might I point out that Jane is a fabulous cook. Apple and sour cream pancakes, cinnamon raisin french toast, and sweet potato pancakes. Each breakfast involved great conversation... but the best thing is that Fred and Jane realized we were there to do tourist things so after awhile they would "kick" us out with a smile (we heard bad stories about other B&Bs where the hosts always talked and wouldn't let you leave).
One more thing I would like to point out, Colonial Williamsburg is in WALKING distance. Bush Gardens is only a ten minute drive. In other words, this is the perfect place for a Williamsburtg vacation. We cannot wait to go back.
