My wife and I just spent a wonderful weekend at the Bentley Manor Inn.
For such a short visit we will hold so many fond memories. From the moment we arrived, Fred and Jane made us feel so welcome and at home. The place itself was so very charming, capturing the feel of the colonial era, while providing all the amenities we needed. Our room was absolutely delightful, well appointed, immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. The handy refrigerator (which we used), TV (which we didn't use) and comfortable chairs and bed made us feel right at home. The spacious bathroom and wonderful shower really added to the comfort factor.

One of the highlights had to be the breakfasts we enjoyed. Jane put together two amazing breakfasts for us. From the fresh fruit to the coffee with a hint of cinnamon (yum yum) to the mouth watering apple pancakes, raisin cinnamon French toast and beautifully colorful eggs, with peppers it really set the tone for 2 fantastic days in Williamsburg. And Fred's service was impeccable.

One of the other major advantages of the Bentley Manor Inn is its location. It is off the main road just enough to be a quiet retreat, while being close enough to all of the attractions to walk, removing the inconvenience of parking in Colonial Williamsburg.

Finally it would be unjust to write a review without speaking about Fred and Jane themselves. They are very warm, funny and endearing. We had some wonderful conversations and their genuine concern for our happiness and comfort clearly came through every time we saw them. Their years as innkeepers clearly show through all the little things that they do and provide. I guarantee we will be going back to the Bentley Manor Inn.

Williamsburg's finest Inn. The Bentley Manor Inn provided us with a delicious gourmet breakfast, wonderful service and a very comfortable stay. The rooms are beautiful, the epitome of colonial Williamsburg. The owners are very cordial and inviting. They made our stay that much more enjoyable. 10 minute walk to small town shops, amazing restaurants, and Williamsburg attractions. Quiet and peaceful accomodations made for a very relaxing stay. Perfect place for a weekend retreat to unwind and relax. Highly recommended! After our stay at the Bentley Manor Inn we wont look anywhere else for accomodations!

This Bed and Breakfast is one of the best we've ever stayed at. Immaculate, comfortable, wonderful hosts and delicious gormet breakfasts. After the breakfast we were served, we didn't have to eat until dinner. Best of all, it's easy walking distance to oldtown Williamsburg. No more than a 10 minute walk on lovely side streets. After our stay at the Bentley, we won't ever stay anywhere else while in Williamsburg.

We just spent three nights at the Bentley Manor Inn. Everything about it was excellent: the delicious cooked to order breakfasts, the clean comfortable bedrooms, the friendliness of the hosts, the beautiful outdoor landscaping, the comfortable surroundings. The location is perfect, just a walk of 6/10 of a mile to get to Colonial Williamsburg. We walked it every day.

The owners have completely redone the interior. After seeing the photos of the place before they bought it, it is amazing that they were able to do such a complete transformation in such a short time. The interior is bright, tastefully decorated, and immaculate throughout. The outside is a classic brick Williamsburg look.

Overall, I can't imagine that you will find a better combination anywhere in the area.

We didn’t really know much about Colonial Williamsburg before we stayed here, but it now has to rate as one of my favourite places in the world! As we weren’t sure what to expect, we decided to stay off-site at the Black Badger. We’re very glad we did so, as the Inn was great. When we arrived, the owner, Rosalind, was very friendly and helpful, despite obviously suffering from a terrible cold! She told us all about Williamsburg, recommended things to do and places to eat, which really helped us enjoy our visit. She knew so much, it was like having our own tourist information office! The Inn itself is in a suburban street, about half-a-mile from Colonial Williamsburg. It’s a really pleasant walk, but this would be something to consider if you have mobility issues. There is also on-street parking available.
I loved the room too, decorated in a folk-art style. The patchwork quilts were great, and gave the room a real charm.
