My wife and I just spent a wonderful weekend at the Bentley Manor Inn.
For such a short visit we will hold so many fond memories. From the moment we arrived, Fred and Jane made us feel so welcome and at home. The place itself was so very charming, capturing the feel of the colonial era, while providing all the amenities we needed. Our room was absolutely delightful, well appointed, immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. The handy refrigerator (which we used), TV (which we didn't use) and comfortable chairs and bed made us feel right at home. The spacious bathroom and wonderful shower really added to the comfort factor.
One of the highlights had to be the breakfasts we enjoyed. Jane put together two amazing breakfasts for us. From the fresh fruit to the coffee with a hint of cinnamon (yum yum) to the mouth watering apple pancakes, raisin cinnamon French toast and beautifully colorful eggs, with peppers it really set the tone for 2 fantastic days in Williamsburg. And Fred's service was impeccable.
One of the other major advantages of the Bentley Manor Inn is its location. It is off the main road just enough to be a quiet retreat, while being close enough to all of the attractions to walk, removing the inconvenience of parking in Colonial Williamsburg.
Finally it would be unjust to write a review without speaking about Fred and Jane themselves. They are very warm, funny and endearing. We had some wonderful conversations and their genuine concern for our happiness and comfort clearly came through every time we saw them. Their years as innkeepers clearly show through all the little things that they do and provide. I guarantee we will be going back to the Bentley Manor Inn.
