“Great Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

I was very pleased with our experience on a weekend trip. The location is fantastic and very convenient for touring Colonial Williamsburg and the William & Mary campus. Also, the staff here really stood out for my husband and me. The front desk was helpful in assisting us with dinner reservations, and the bar off the lobby was great. A jazz quartet played on Friday evening which was a nice touch. The room was exactly what we expected, not particularly modern but spacious and decorated very much in keeping with the style of the hotel. The Lodge is across the street from the Williamsburg Spa which was convenient as well (and I definitely recommend it). All in all, I would recommend staying here.

We stayed here in August 2013 for 2 nights and found this hotel outstanding. It's location is great in that it is a short walk to the historical part of Williamsburg - very centrally located. No buses to take or parking to find. It also has a nice pool that is a welcome respite from walking all over Williamsburg in the August heat. We plan to stay here again in December for the holiday decorations in Wmsburg. The rooms themselves are very clean with nice linens (I'm trying to figure out where to buy a bedspread like the one on my bed!). Overall, great place to stay and worth every penny.

We had the pleasure of staying four nights in the Nicholas building at the Williamsburg Lodge. The room was spacious, clean and decorated so beautifully. The beds were extremely comfortable. The location is perfect. We were directly across the street from the Revolutionary City and Merchants square.

I highly recommend the Williamsburg Lodge!

Room Tip: I suggest you stay in the Nicholas or Tyler Buildings. Both are new and closest to Revolutionary ci...

We've recently returned from a week's stay in Colonial Williamsburg and highly recommend the Williamsburg Lodge. The hotel was conveniently located and a short walk to both the historical part of Williamsburg and Merchant's Square. I found the rooms clean and maintained. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Had activities at hotel for children in addition to pool. Would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Stayed in Ashby House. It was close to main lobby and parking area.

The Williamsburg Lodge is my absolute favorite place to stay when vacationing in Williamsburg. Beautiful rooms, great restaurants, centrally located in the historic area (and across the street from the spa!) Over the years we have stayed at the Lodge more than any other property and it remains our favorite. The staff are knowledgeable and courteous. Pricey when staying "a la carte" but reasonable when you book a package.

My family loved Colonial Williamsburg! We loved the re-enactments of our American history and the differing views presented by the players was fantastic! This is a must see family vacation spot and the Williamsburg Lodge was equally great! Friendly service everywhere, rooms were nicely decorated and very clean! The lodge is within one block of the Revolutionary City!
