“Affordable, Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2010

We selected this hotel because of its price and, overall, it was a good bargain. It was in a great location to all of the historic landmarks, food and shopping districts. The hotel was clean, with the exception of our shower, which we had to clean before using. We were also told that the hotel was non-smoking but the floor we were on smelled faintly like smoke - Only the hallway had a faint smell, not our room. When we questioned the front desk about this, they said that some rooms on our floor were smoking, although our floor had a sign that said "Non-smoking Floor". The bed was comfortable and for the most part, with the help of a sound machine that we brought, things were quiet. The free continental breakfast was a nice amenity, but it got crazy at times so allow yourself ample time to get your food. The kids enjoyed the outdoor pool as well. Not the best hotel I have ever stayed in but it served its purpose for this vacation.

This is a nice clean place to stay. The bathrooms are very small. The rooms are very clean and the public areas are clean as well. The bad parts are as follows 1.Two days the house keeping did not close the door to the room.Nothing was stolen but still a major problem. We called the front desk to complain and was told that they would pass it on to the manager.Never heard a word back. 2.Had a family staying in several rooms on our hall. They slammed the doors day and night. No peace no sleep.

Room was large and comfortably out of the way of the crowd at the hotel. I got the sense that the hotel is on the decline - we had 2 extension cords plugging in lamps and radios because an outlet had obviously not worked in quite some time. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was a zoo but primarily because of a poor layout of the facility with everyone entering/exiting at the same point that the line started. Hallways and lobby were clean.

My family stayed here for 1 night and was checking into the Hampton Inn when I arrived the next morning. The Hampton Inn refused to honor their online special when I arrived and rushed back to the quality inn and was given the same 2 rooms my family previously stayed in with no problems. The front desk clerk was extremely nice and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for value and customer service. Will stay here again.

After being turned away from the Hampton Inn due to confusion with our reservations (that had been made months in advance) and then offered a smoking room and spending the night at Days Inn with no A/C, we were thrilled with the rest of our stay in Williamsburg. Very clean, friendly service, big breakfast area with free breakfast, and nice pool. I cannot complain about anything during our stay. Everyone was very helpful and even met the manager and he was very friendly.

Good hotel to stay close to the attractions and on a budget.
We stayed for the four nights. Nice hotel on good location. Right on a street with all the restaurants, stores, gas stations, and short car drive tot attractions and museums. But the hotel is quiet. CLEAN rooms are big enough. No refrigerator or microwave, but we knew about it before we arrived. If you need to store the medications or something like that, hotel stuff will be happy to store it in the refrigeration at the front desk. Coffer and variety of tea bags available downstairs whole day. Hot water brewer is in the room. Simple FREE breakfast, clean tables and serving area. Kids enjoyed the pool. If you are planning to spend the day out of the hotel or have a good afternoon resting with out any distractions this is a good reasonably priced place.

Basically, I called with a day's notice to cancel my reservations due to a change in my plans. The evening manager wouldn't even take the call but I could hear him talking to the clerk that answered the phone. He was very rude and unprofessional. When I did finally speak to the Sales Manager a few days later, he was apologetic but just as stubborn. At least he wasn't as rude. I was charged a night for a reservation I tried to cancel because it wasn't within a non-standard 48 hour period imposed by this hotel. Most hotels give you up to a day or 6 PM the night of. Also, it was over the busy Memorial Day holiday which means they likely sold my room and pocketed the "no-show" fee. Their attitude towards business and customer service stinks and I will NEVER stay at this place!
