“Fine hotel for the cost”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

The hotel is a great location to Historic Williamsburg, it is a short drive away. The hotel room is clean but dated. The sheets and towels were new. The breakfast is basic w/waffles, it was fine for our family. For the price, you can't beat it!

For $65 a night during 4th of july in a tourist area, well you can't beat that! Nothing fancy, but a great price-i saw a leaking window, ice machines broken X2, some wall paper needing repair, and some molding missing from the elevator--but again 65$ per night, a good value.

The motel was nice - comfortable, safe, and quiet. However, I could not get on Wi-Fi. The only Wi-Fi available was evidently from the Comfort Inn next store. The signal strength for it was too weak to get on Wi-Fi.

The only reason I gave this hotel 1 dot (Terrible) is because there was not an option to give negative dots (Disgraceful).

Here's what happened. Our first night we had to call the front desk 4 times because the adjoining room was having a party. They called up to room the first 3 times but on the fourth time they said they did everything they could. The party was going strong until about 3am. The next morning with little sleep we made our way to Colonial Williamsburg. After a full day of walking around, we arrived back to the hotel around 5. We were told that our neighbors had left. We were starting to feel better about the experience until we walked up to our room. When we got there we saw the that the top door lock had been keeping our door open all day since the cleaning crew finished. I flipped out! I asked when they cleaned and the front desk said before noon. Our door had been open for more than 5 hours. Luckily nothing had been stolen. After hours of complaining, the only thing they were willing to do was give us a free night stay at a later date. Not going to happen!

The front desk was not helpful and had no idea what they were doing. They looked like deer in the headlights when I was talking to them. They reluctantly called the manager, who was not onsite, after I started to raise my voice in the crowded lobby.

The entire hotel was dirt and very old. The bathroom door looked like it was going to fall off the hinge. I did not feel safe at any time. We did however see a few kids cleaning the pool on multiple occasions because of strange items floating in the water.

I am a normal guy with a normal wife. If you read this and still decide to stay there, 1. you are dumb 2. you are making a huge mistake 3. you are going to regret it. For the sake of your vacation, please stay elsewhere.

This hotel had a good price in a central area to Busch Gardens, Water Country, the Outlet Mall and Colonial Williams burg. The first room they gave us smelled so bad (room 205) from the air conditioner. Even my unfussy husband and kids thought it was unbearable. We moved to room 211 and it was better, but still some sort of odor from the air conditioner but it wasn't unbearable. The blanket on one bed had holes in it so I asked for a new one the next day and it was replaced. After a day at Busch Gardens we wanted to go in the pool but it was GROSS! The water was opaque and there was stuff floating in it. There were a bunch of kids in the pool but I don't think it was healthy to be in there. The breakfast was the best part. The woman working in that room was attentive and it was extremely clean with a good selection of food. It was a great price, maybe I'd stay there again, but I would try to find a newer hotel first.

Room was clean and price was very affordable. It is in a great location and close to all the Williamsburg attractions. The one major thing that disappointed me was the pool. We picked this hotel specifically because it had an outdoor pool we were planning on enjoying. When we got there the water was filthy. Also there was what looked like dog hair in the water. We didn't even bother getting in the pool and left. Overall it was a good room with good service but something has to be done about keeping the pool cleaner.
