“Good location, average hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights over the New Year's holiday. The first thing that we noticed was that the hotel was very close to restaurants and activities which was great when traveling with kids. The staff were friendly at check-in and throughout the stay. Breakfast was average consisting of instant oatmeal, powdered eggs, fruit, etc. Our first impression of the room was that it needed updating. Their were marks on the walls and although the room had been cleaned the bathroom tiles, grout around the tub, carpet and drapes gave the room a dingy feel. The air conditioner/heater in the room was noticeably loud and difficult to find a comfortable temperature. The beds were comfortable. The housekeeper noticed that we were traveling with two small children and left extra towels and washcloths which was greatly appreciated. Overall the stay was pleasant, but the hotel itself is average.

Room Tip: The restaurant rating of average was for the breakfast area as their is no restaurant on property.

“Nice hotel - good location.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

Stayed here for a conference in williamsburg. The location is central to things to do in the area. Seems like a great place for families as there were lots of them. Hotel has had a remodel to the lobby and the rooms but seems like it was done as nicely as others I've stayed at.

The room itself was OK, bed was very uncomfortable - very lumpy and worn.

Didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but lots of other people were there. Would stay again, but as someone else mentioned, unload at the lobby because parking is a little strange and the other entrances are confusing to navigate.

The gym was decent although one treadmill wasn't working and the tv didn't work either.

“Worth value hotel for a family!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

My family stayed here for 2 nights. The staff (from front desk, housekeeping, to kitchen staff) are friendly, courteous and helpful. Surprisingly one of the few hotels I've stayed in, nationally/internationally, that offers personalized quality customer service. Based on my observation, it has a work culture based on the Golden rule of treating guests well.
The room is clean, quiet (considering that we're near the elevator), spacious, and offers amenities such as a mini-fridge & microwave (which are a must since I have a child). The hotel's "deluxe" continental breakfast offers a variety of hot and cold items which is perfect for my toddler. Recreational facilities include an indoor pool, spa, and gym which are all well-maintained. The hotel is also conveniently located near restaurants.
We'll definitely stay here again!

“Center Location - Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

Staff was very friendly. Breakfast is far beyond the cold muffins, etc at other hotels. It comes with sausage eggs waffles - CUT fruit - yougerts etc. Do unload however under the breezeway before you park

“Wonderful value accomodations in Williamsburg.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights while in Williamsburg for The Grand Illumination on Dec. 2.
The rooms were not the biggest I've enjoyed, especially under the heading of 'Suite', but they were clean, comfortable, and a great value. There was a mini-fridge, microwave, 2 televisions, a sofa, and 4 chairs.
The rooms are somewhat dated, but offer every amenity for a great stay in a hotel serving a city where your attention is all AWAY from the hotel.
The rate also includes a "deluxe" continental breakfast. While there were no eggs Benedict (none were expected) they provide scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, and large selections of other breakfast items. There is an indoor pool, a spa and an exercise room. We could not help but be impressed with the value this Marriott brand offers. Lastly, the staff is attentive and very courteous.
Would highly recommend this hotel.
