“Center Location - Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

Staff was very friendly. Breakfast is far beyond the cold muffins, etc at other hotels. It comes with sausage eggs waffles - CUT fruit - yougerts etc. Do unload however under the breezeway before you park

“Wonderful value accomodations in Williamsburg.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights while in Williamsburg for The Grand Illumination on Dec. 2.
The rooms were not the biggest I've enjoyed, especially under the heading of 'Suite', but they were clean, comfortable, and a great value. There was a mini-fridge, microwave, 2 televisions, a sofa, and 4 chairs.
The rooms are somewhat dated, but offer every amenity for a great stay in a hotel serving a city where your attention is all AWAY from the hotel.
The rate also includes a "deluxe" continental breakfast. While there were no eggs Benedict (none were expected) they provide scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, and large selections of other breakfast items. There is an indoor pool, a spa and an exercise room. We could not help but be impressed with the value this Marriott brand offers. Lastly, the staff is attentive and very courteous.
Would highly recommend this hotel.

“Excellent value in Williamsburg”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

I go to Williamsburg often for events at the College and I usually stay here. It is less than 2 miles to campus and the facility is well-priced and clean with a very friendly front desk staff. The breakfast is generous - with waffles, sausage biscuits, yogurt, juices, danish and cereal. There is an indoor pool. The only issue is sometimes noise -- and that is the guests' fault not the hotel's.

This hotel has mid-priced restaurants nearby and is convenient (not walking distance) to all the area attractions.

“good hotel for visiting the area”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

Though not fabulous, this was a very acceptable hotel. My daughter and I were visiting William and Mary, and the location was very convenient. Also the parking lot adjoins a pizza place and IHOP. That was a big plus. There is only a small market in the hotel - no breakfast or food options - but with the two options so close, it was fine with us.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room with no one on either side. The walls are not that thick!

“Disappointment? Or higher expectations?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

Thinking it was affiliated w/Marriott we figured "quality." Room was small compared to the Courtyard Marriott we had just checked out of on the first leg of our trip to/in Va. Front desk employee was kind enough but short at the same time. Room was small (especially since the cost was the same price, w/o Military Discount, as the Courtyard we had just sent two nights in, and that was twice as large). Room was damp. Pink mold in shower (which we didn't use). Sink basin was not attached to counter (falling out of). Pool was cold (advertised as heated), hot tub is not jetted (no biggy) and pool building was dirty, moldy, caked dust in air vents. Continental breakfast was typical and fine. Bed and pillows were comfy, thank goodness because it did not look it. Wi-Fi and even 4G availability were very sketchy at best, which was quite frustrating. Room fridge and microwave included were clean. Will upload pics soon as I'm in a shared computer.

Location was great. They do offer military (we used) and AAA discounts. Military discount was significant!
