This lovely inn is perfect in every way, from the beautifully kept public and private spaces to the quiet location. Our room (Mountain View) was spacious and nicely decorated, with a large, well-appointed bathroom. As other reviewers have noted, the proprietors go out of their way to ensure that guests enjoy their stay, offering assistance, ideas, and yes, even wine or port at night in addition to the wonderful breakfast. But Kevin and Jay are low-key and manage to make guests feel welcome and comfortable without compromising our privacy. The setting, just a few blocks from downtown on a dead-end street, offers gorgeous views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and numerous places to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings (porch, large yard with outdoor seating, cozy living room, breakfast room, etc). As a bonus, the Inn has some interesting works of art, including some of Kevin Adams' pieces, and guests can sometimes visit Kevin's art studio across the street.
The Inn ranks among the best hotels we have visited in the world, and we highly recommend it.
