“A Wonderful Experience”

We were treated like we were the only one's there from the minute we arrived, waited on hand and foot. The dinner was the best we had ever had, and were invited to tour the kitchen, breathtaking. Can't wait to go back. An event everyone should go to at least once in their lifes.

After recently moving to the area we made a reservation for our anniversary with high hopes and great expectations. Well, we've just come from dinner and all our expectations were met and then some. From greeting us at the door by name to our menus specifically written for us, to our added extras such as champagne, special appetizers and multiple desserts, I can only think that people who don't have an incredible experience here are trying to have a less than incredible time. Our report with the wait staff was comfortable and fun, not what you'd expect from such a place. The staff was professional and the attention to detail was without fault. We met the owner, toured the kitchen and left four hours after the start of our dinner. This experience is exactly what you expect it to be... those looking for fault will always find it, but if you go and enjoy being treated better than you ever thought you could be, and dine on the most interesting and thoughtfully prepared cuisine imagined, you'll have the culinary time of your life! Kudos to all the staff at the Inn at Little Washington!

This place is immaculate and so comfortable I could have stayed forever (not a fly in sight). The bad reviewers must have been at the wrong address for the restaurant is beautiful with friendly waiters, impeccable service, and the FOOD SUBLIME. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! This was my second visit, and I look forward to the third.

There is no doubt that the atmosphere of this dining establishment is charming. It was described by a friend as a "once in a lifetime experience". I would agree, but not in a positive way.

When one pays this high a price for fine dining, you should not have to tell the waiter that you would prefer not to have the soup with the fly sitting on the side of the cup.

I am fortunate to have had the pleasure of enjoying many of the best dining establishments in America. The Inn at Little Washington did not rate as highly as I had hoped. The portions were VERY small and the food was only average when compared to the rediculously high price.

The staff is said to rate the happiness of each guest at the end of each meal. The gentleman who came to our table at the end of the evening seemed so bored that he could not wait to leave the table. His effort was obviously very insincere.

Once in a lifetime? Yes, that was enough for me.

Really loved the place. The staff keep track of us from the minute that we arrived until we left. Even while we moved around while awaiting out table, the owner found us without asking how we were. The current six course menu is great and even though the portion are small, I was stuffed by the end. The bread and soup were nevery tasty and the desserts were outstanding.

The service was great and we never had to ask for anything, they anticipated what we were wanting.

In reading the bad reviews, I can only image they are the type of people who have bad experiences everywhere or cannot communicate with adults.

I can't understand the good reviews. Service was not friendly. Dinner portions were small and if only the food tasted as good as it sounded. Ambiance of hotel and grounds are not that special. They have full time florist and gardeners but my gardens look better with just a couple hours a week tending. And the church garb and insence made me wish I had donated the money I spent on this one day to a food bank. Not a heavenly experience!
