“Its where the locals go for a God lynch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012 via mobile

Nick's is not pretty inside or out but the quality of the food more than suffices. And the prices do the same. We had lunch today and I had the scallop sandwich and my DH had the catfish special. Mine came with choice of fries, Cole slaw or veggie. His came with choice of two sides. His was $6.95; mine $8.95. Either would have been more than enough for dinner. They had a meatloaf special for $4.95 ...needless to say, they ran out of that pretty quickly. The cliental appeared to be regulars, construction workers and tourists like us. The service was efficient and friendly. We will go back for breakfast ... it sounded good too.

“Don't walk away because of the decor!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

Heard about this place from someone who had just been to VA beach. Saw it as we drove into town and decided to stop.
It is in a very old strip mall next to a laundromat. Very unassuming!
However... the service was excellent and the food too!
Prices were reasonable for the beach. My husband had she crab soup which was fantastic and lower priced than other places. We had sandwiches - burger and soft shell crab. His burger was obviously made with fresh meat, not frozen. My soft shell crab was fairly large.
The place was old, but clean. The waitress was very attentive to an elderly client who wanted to sit where there was no air vent.
Fancy places and fancy food mean nothing if service is not genuine. This place has been around 30+ yrs for a reason!

“Seafood lovers dream”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

We came to this restaurant because we had a 15% off coupon. It is also near the resort we were staying at. What a great place it turned out to be, the atmosphere is basic, no frills. We were seated promptly and ordered drinks, which were served quickly. The menu is a true seafood menu and there were specials written on a chalkboard. The AUCE Flounder was cooked perfectly and came with 2 generous sides for $12.99. My husband had the lobster combo which featured lobster, crab meat, medium-lg shrimp in garlic butter-this was cooked perfectly as well $18.95 also with 2 sides. Staff is friendly and attentive.

“Don't be fooled”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012 via mobile

We were told by a stranger in a 7-11 that we should try nicks. We drove by and really didn't think we should but are we glad we gave it a try. It was amazing and the waitress was great. I am sorry that we live in Canada as I would go back frequently if we lived closer
