“Good Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

I don't care about the crab legs, but everything else was great, yes it would be a bit better if it were bigger, but l've been to Captain George's and will never go back, plus they charge how much now? Way to much.

“International Buffet and Mongolian BBQ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

This place is not just a Chinese buffet. First, since it is back from the beach area the prices are more reasonable than we expected, and the variety and quality much better than hoped for. The staff seats you promptly, getting your beverage before you get back to your table. They clear the dirty plates quickly and check on your beverages frequently. Next, the variety of foods was surprising. I had a little sushi, some won ton soup, fried calamari, house honeyed shrimp, and an excellent egg fu yung. Vern went to the Mongolian BBQ first trip and had a great looking plate. The place is very clean, open seating keeps it from seeming crowded. We arrived about 5pm and by the time we left, about 6pm it was getting pretty full. I saw a lot of people there making packs of food to go, sold by the pound. Several varieties of steak, pork, chicken, everything you would expect. Raw sushi, which is not always available. All foods kept freshly filled whenever checked by staff. Very good meal.

“Worth the drive.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

If you are visiting Virginia Beach, you will surely be looking for a place to get some decent food. The beach front offers few restaurants where one can have a decent sized meal without getting ripped off. Also, most beach front restaurants and places along Atlantic and Pacific Avenues get pretty crowded and wait times are long.
So I suggest you drive to Dynasty at Norfolk (10 minutes from the beach). You will be surprised with the variety of stuff and seafood they have in their buffet. And the price is very affordable.
The owner is not very friendly, but the staff more than make up for her unfriendliness. You can even serve yourself a take out container. The owner charges by weight of the contents in the take out container. Also snow crab legs for dine-in are charged by weight.
Really enjoyed at his place and will surely recommend.

“Long time customer, now feeling ripped off”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

Dynasty is a great place for the food at a decent price, however if you can not sit there and eat, be very careful. Apparently the cashier knows whats in your take out box without looking. There price structure for take out has gotten to be ridiculous. Buffet/lb price starts @ 3.59/lb, upcharge for seafood and if you don't have enough rice in your box. I could not belive it when my take out came in over 8.00. Like I said, been going for a long time and this is the mess they have now. Very disappointed, and will now be finding a new place to get chinese for lunch.

“Lots of OK food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

It is an american Chinese self-serve restaurant. Personel was friendly, helpful and nice. Abundant food and lots of variety. Food is fresh and often replenished. Good choice of seafood. Most dishes are greasy, difficult to find low fat food. Cleanliness is not outstanding. Cheap pricing, so great price/quality ratio.
