“Got it on a groupon, surprisingly fun”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

This little place was surprisingly fun. Right across the street is a giant Jungle golf which costs twice as much. We got this through a groupon and for the price (I think like $7) we had a great time. The kids didn't know the difference and we were able to go through as many times as we wanted. The people behind the counter were really friendly too and they had an amazing elephant ear doughnut that my husband and daughter devoured. Save some $ while at the beach and try this little place out.

“Despite me being a grumpy old man, I had a blast!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

Truth be told, these things are generally built purely for the amazement and pleasure of children or young couples on dates, and not for middle-aged adults like me. With adults costing $11 per, children 5-12 at $9, and wow...kids under four play free, this is not a cheap date for a family. But it is worth it if you visit between 0900 and 1800 since you have free replays.

Now the course is just a few blocks off the beach, appears to be recently refreshed, and really is a nice layout considering the limited amount of space. There are a number of pirate figures scattered throughout the course, a large wooden pirate ship that the kids can play on, running water, and tons of flowers and plants. It really does look good in my opinion.

The snack shop has a selection of candy and drinks, there are bathrooms there but they are not really that nice - think decades old gas station around back of the building, lol.

In closing, we went there and had fun and it seemed like there were a good number of people there that enjoyed being there also - not too crowded but far from deserted. Enjoy!

“our new local favorite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

Normally I'll avoid mini-golf establishments at/near beach resort areas. Either they're ridiculously easy or hard, boring (a number of holes are too similar), or the grounds are ill-kept and sometimes unplayable, and are almost never a good value. Gave this one a shot only because of a Groupon, and must say I've found a local favorite because of it.

First visited it in the winter and while it wasn't "fresh," it was still in pretty good shape. Came back in the spring and it was renovated for the new season, with new felt and all. The course plays "fair;" there's an element of skill to most holes, but you don't have to be a pro to play decently. There's a very good variety in the holes. About the only complaint I had was that sometimes a ball would roll away the hole if you don't hit the lip just right, but that seemed to be better when we visited after the renovations.

It is just a touch pricy, which is to be expected in a resort area, and is in line with its quality when taking into account it is in a tourist area, so you do feel like you got your value. Have yet to take advantage of it, but they also offer free replays during off-peak hours.

Bottom line, I enjoy this course, and more importantly so does my wife, so this one's a winner.

“Nice Mini-Golf Spot...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

Visited here at least once a year for the last five years. This visit, they were just completing a renovation, so the course is nice and fresh as of this review.
Pirate-themed 18-hole mini-golf course is very compact (no really long shots here) but challenging enough to keep it interesting. There's a bench at the end of virtually every hole, so waiting for the next hole to clear is a little easier. Terrain is a bit uneven, so consider this if you have trouble moving about. Not too overpriced ($9.50 per adult, $8.50 per kid, our 3 year-old played free), and you can replay all you want before 6pm! I don't know if they change this rule when things get busy during the summer, but it is a nice offer.
There are a few tables with umbrellas in the front, and on-site fried food, hot dogs, and ice cream are available. Staff is pretty cool too. A great bit of quick entertainment while keeping within a block of the beach.
