I have never written a bad review of a restaurant, but I felt compelled to do so on this place. I was so excited about trying local food in a beautiful place surrounded by FRESH SEAFOOD and PRODUCE. As soon as you walk in the door, it smelled of old carpet and looked it. The waitress and people were nice and the atmosphere was not bad. I noticed the food prices were a bit high on the menu, but thought it would be worth it for good seafood. Man...was I wrong! I ordered the "crabby patty" which should have been called a "crappy patty" due to the fact that it was awful and over $12. I have grown up around seafood on the Eastern Shore and Tangier and seen a lot of crab cakes in my life. I have never seen anything so pitiful than what was between those buns! WOW! The burger underneath wasn't good either. Clam Chowder did not taste fresh at all, but more like Sysco which might explain why the clams tasted like rubber bands. The shrimp was a nice size, but overcooked. This restaurant is surrounded by local and wonderful produce, yet I did not see anything listed about local items even though they are right near numerous farms. Sad because this restaurant is in a great location and has potential. In case you're wondering about the title review...blue cheeks refers to how long you'll be on the toilet! I see why it's the "locals secret"
