So let me preface this review based on being a San Diego girl. I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive when my boyfriend who lives in Virginia Beach suggested I go to a mexican restaurant anywhere other than San Diego. But we went as a big group of 10 of us.
I know that there is another location in VAB but this specific location has the cookers for the famous brisket tacos, so we went to this location.
The tacos were good, the margaritas were good, the service was good. Nothing exceptional. I expect homemade torillas & chips at a Mexican restaurant & they did not have either BUT what really stood out fo rme was the made at your table guacamole, very yummy. I eat avocados on a daily basis in San Diego & have to say that the guac was very good! But the very best part of the entire dining experience was the grilled half of avocado w/ pico de gallo! I have never had grilled avocado before but the seasoning & the pico combined with the grilling was just amazing!
I wante dto go back to the restaurant just for the avocados & will again when I am back in Virginia Beach! Ya gotta try it!
