“Great day with the kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2011 via mobile

This was one of the cleanest and enjoyable petting zoos I have experienced. The kids loved the animals and I loved that everything was laid out easily and beautiful. All the staff was very accomadating. The play ground was an added bonus and very fun. We used this as a day away from the beach during our vacation and it was a wonderful way to spend the day. We will definitely go again when we are in the area.

“Truly amazing place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2011

I went to Hunt Club Farm with my 14 year old daughter who loves animals. It was the nicest place and the staff was amazingly friendly. They had a great set up for animals and a really surprising variety for a smaller place - and the price was extremely reasonable, especially for families with more than one child. We'll definately go back!

“A wonderful experience - a real farm in a city!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2011

We took my granddaughters to Hunt Club to visit the Petting Zoo. What an amazing place! It's a real farm inside Virginia Beach. There is a petting zoo, beautiful aviary, variety of animals for the kids to see and interact with - pot-bellied pigs, llamas and alpacas, tadpoles, a beehive - and much more, including pony rides and a playground. The children went inside the goat pen and chicken coop and fed everyone, which was great fun. Other goats have a huge new climbling facility, and you put food in a cup and send it up on a pulley; they climb up to the stations and find the food - the kids loved that! The workers were shearing an alpaca when we were there, which was so interesting for the kids too see, also. Turkeys, bunnies and peacocks roamed around to "greet" the visitors. This really is an exceptional experience, for both children and adults. There are so many things here to see and learn that city children would never have to opportunity to experience otherwise.
There is a terrific summer camp my granddaughters have attended every year - they learned to fish, ride horseback, plant a garden and take care of baby animals among so many other things. Hunt Club Farm is a wonderful place for children and their parents!

“Nice relaxing family stop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2011

We went to the farm today and spent a few hours. The staff was super friendly and nice. We were 1 of about 5 families there during our visit. There were the usual assortment of animals to pet, and a small playground that the kids loved. There were also pony rides, food for purchase to feed the animals, a sprinkler, picnic areas, benches under shade, port-a-potties, snacks/drinks for purchase, and numerous hand washing stations. This was a great place to relax away from the busyness of the Virginia Beach area. It was small enough that my already tired kids were able to circle around the petting area several times and play on the playground without getting cranky. It was easy to find, and not far off the beaten path (in fact, it was within 2 minuted of lots of shopping). The farm was a great, inexpensive, fun way to spend part of a day.
