“Nice Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

Great sized room. Bathroom on medium size & nice. Mini fridge was more convenient than a compact. 3rd floor had a nice view which included 2 comfortable chairs(not the cheesy plastic ones) & a small table. We stayed 2 days and the staff was always friendly, eye contact, smiling and greeting us FIRST. We shared an elevator with a staff member, when she got on, noticed some goldfish snacks in the floor. Immediately she picked those up. I don't know how the breakfast staff kept up, because there were a lot of guests between 8:30 and 10,but NEVER saw an empty food container! Staff even opened the banquet room next to dining area for guests to eat in so we wouldn't be crowded in like a can of sardines. Pool was small with sign that read max occupancy is 11 people. Wished nice pool next door went with this hotel :( Hotel is on boardwalk. The corners in the parking garage are odd, but, allowed us to park on the floor of our stay, so, no hauling luggage through lobby(just through garage door with key, through fire exit door with key, and we were in our hall. Small gym, but workable with just a FEW people(but it stayed empty)Would stay here again.

Room Tip: If you want a great view of the ocean, don't stay on 2nd floor. No outdoor pool and small indoor...

This hotel is not what the other reviews make it out to be. I was rather disappointed as a Gold Honors Member. We arrived early and room wasnt ready so we went to the beach, when we did check in I was told my credit card had expired, it was updated months ago through the Hilton Honors site, they changed the date on it and all was fine with that. Also as a member they usually offer you bottled water or something, nothing was offered, wasnt even greeted as a Honors member like usual. Elevators are very slow, and there is usually a crowd waiting to get on, there is only 2 so everyone in the hotel uses the same ones. Rooms are small the pictures on the hotel site are deceiving as they look like large rooms but are just a normal room, 2 beds, tv stand/dresser houses microwave and mini fridge. I asked for a high floor, got 3rd which I guess was ok but like being up higher, guess the good part about not getting a high floor was the slow elevator. Rooms are not stocked well, used a few tissues and then the box was empty, only tp was what was on roll, no extra. Windows and mirrors are pretty smeary, no big deal but you would think they would be clean, considering we had to wait until they cleaned it to check in.
Breakfast is not good at all: If you dont like sausage this isnt the place for you, sausage was on the menu every morning, sausage patties one day, links the next, omelets are not made there, they are the omelets that are pre-made and heated, it looked good but when you bit into it there was alot of water that came out, very gross and disgusting. Muffins, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, waffles, yogurt, nothing to brag about. Bag breakfasts at desk are never there, one morning out of the week we were there, there was one.
Parking garage is a nightmare, due to the fact there is only one way for cars to go up and down, a few times someone came flying up the ramp and I was right there, could have easily been hit, so then you have to back up somehow around the parked cars in order for someone to get past.
It is down toward the end where it is quieter on the streets, the singing and shows are up farther. The restaurant downstairs and the one next door does get pretty loud at night but if you are inside with the door shut you dont hear much, but on the balcony you definetely do.
Area where pool is is very HOT and pool had alot of sand in it. NO outdoor pool.
Nice hotel but not what people are raving about, not once did I have a pleasant experience to brag about an employee, I asked at the front desk for recommendations on places to eat other than the restaurant there and he told me one place, I stood there and waited and the one place was all that he ever mentioned. Also the carpet near the ice machine was soaked, literally water gushed around your shoes, I told them at the desk, they said someone must have spilled something, next day it was worse, told them again, ok we will check, next day told them again, then someone did vaccuum some water but never really tried to fix the problem, I personally dont want water gushing onto my feet out of hotel carpet, you never know who and what is in that carpet.
I honestly think the price of this hotel is way too high considering you can get a room at one of the other ones alot cheaper, the Springfield next door was actually about $20 cheaper and had a beautiful outdoor pool and large balconies, I wish I had stayed there now, but I cancelled that reservation thinking that being a Honors member I would have got some perks and from previous Hilton stays the uppgrades and experiences I have had I stuck with Hilton, now I wish I had went with the Marriott.

Room Tip: Dont get a room near the elevator or at the end of the hall, crowds are by the elevators and near th...

We made our reservation late in the evening. Disappointed that our room was on 2nd floor. When making reservation, I was told the room was on the 2nd floor and oceanfront. Reservation agent failed to mention the additional railing around the roof that extend from the 1st floor below, so in addition to room balcony railing, there is another that obstructs your view. Staff was friendly and helpful with any requests. We found the breakfast to be very good and comparable to other Hamptons we have stayed in. Rooms were clean and spacious. Would return to this Hampton but would request higher floor.

My experience at this hotel was surprising, as I usually see far better quality with Hampton. The lobby was filthy, there were no maps or brochures of the area, no "pantry", vending machines did not work, staff never answered the phone, and pool area was disgusting. We stayed for 3 days and the cleaning staff never left shampoo or toilet paper. We had to call down to the desk, hope for someone to answer the phone, and have it sent up. No bathmats were ever left and too few towels for 2 persons. The pillows on the bed were the size of pillows one would use on their couch!!! How about a normal sized bed pillow, eh? Great view, nice rooms, but hotel staff and service suck. Breakfast area was always dirty and the food was among the worst uncooked mess I have seen.

We stayed here for 4 nights 6/12-6/16/13. Our room was clean and it was nice to have a free hot breakfast. All the staff was extra helpful. The parking is pure hell though. I would have gave it 4 stars if parking would have been better. Who ever designed the parking garage should be shot. Its not big enough for 2 cars to pass. especially in the tight corners. NIGHTMARE is all I can say. Also they do not have an outdoor pool. But we just slipped over to springfields pool. Dont tell anyone. :)

Room Tip: Dont stay on lower levels during the weekend. They have a bar connected and they have a band from 10...

We arrived around noon on Friday, 14 June for our long weekend on the beach. We had our two kids (ages 3 & 4) with us. Our room wasn't ready, but the staff gave us our parking tag for the garage as well as a room key to give us access to the indoor pool. The weather wasn't good so we spent a lot of time in the pool. Once our room was ready the staff gave us a call on our cell phone so we could check in. We requested a room away from the elevator b/c we didn't want to listen to the 'ding' of the elevator bell all day/night long. Thankfully we got a room at the end of the hallway. We didn't ask for it, but we got a handicap accessible room. Their are only a few differences about these rooms, which actually worked out to our advantage. The shower has a handheld showerhead which worked great in cleaning sand out of our kids' hair. We wouldn't have been as successful otherwise. The bathroom also had lots of hooks for towels. What the bathroom didn't have is space to store the towels. The underneath of the bathroom counter is open to allow a wheelchair which means no place to put towels not in use anywhere but the counter. This leaves very little space for other bathroom items.
The downside of our room's location is that you're next to the stairs so you hear the slamming of the door to the stairs on occasion. Not a big deal b/c most Americans are fat and lazy and don't take the stairs.
The one thing we didn't like about the rooms were the pillows. They were feather pillows that immediately went flat as soon as you put your head on it. My wife said next trip she's bringing her own pillow.
The hotel's location is great b/c in front of the hotel on the beach is a playground. It helps break things up if the kids get tired of playing in the water and sand. You can spend some time on the playground. There's also a much larger playground at the very southern end of the beach. It's not far, about 15 minutes with our two kids.
Breakfast was fantastic each morning with lots of options. Breakfast runs from 6-10am, but around 9:30 you're going to have a hard time finding everything. They might stop making biscuits or not refill the gravy, or you have to ask for a spoon for cereal b/c the container is empty.
We had a great experience. This is why you go with known, quality brand hotels.
Best thing about this hotel is that EVERY room is beach front. Everyone has a balcony facing the beach.

Room Tip: The hotel's parking garage goes up to the 5th floor. The hotel has 10 floors. If you get a room...

I got this room for $25 cheaper than listed on the travel.com plus I got $25 gift certificate to spend on souvenirs. The room was really nice and the ocean front view was great. The pool was a little small but at least it was an indoor pool as it rained half of our trip. Over all it was very nice for the amenties.
