“Great Family Vacation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Spent 4 nights at this hotel 7-28-13 thru 8-1-13. We booked their Family Package which included cooked-to-order breakfast in the hotel's restaurant "Neptune’s". It was great! Bathroom was very small, but room size was adequate and had a private balcony and hotel was right on the boardwalk with a full Ocean Front View! Sure, this hotel is NOT comparable to a resort or any upscale facility; but it was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! We arrived early and were able to park, use the bathroom, and check-in; even though our room wasn't ready yet. We walked around for a bit and we were then were able to get into our room by 1:00pm. My 8-year-old son LOVED this hotel. For the price of an ocean front room, you can't beat this hotel! I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone! Oh, and the package included a beach bag filled with sand toys and other goodies for my son! Great Value for the amount of money we spent compared to other beach front hotels! Fantastic Stay! This hotel also had an indoor swimming pool which was great too.

Our family just came back from our third year vacationing in Virginia Beach. We traveled from Canada all the way to Virginia Beach and stayed at the Oceanfront Inn hotel. This hotel is a Medium size hotel that is right in front of the beach, it is clean, friendly staff, clean pool and with a great view. Excellent location, all amenities are within walking distance and very affordable. Thank you Oceanfront for another great vacation!!!

What a great place to stay! We booked a Aquarium/Dolphin Tour package through the Virginia is For Lovers site and got this hotel with it. This is a smaller hotel in the middle of some bigger guys (Hilton is right next door), but what a surprising value. My wife, 5 YO Daughter, and I usually stay at Myrtle Beach because of all the childrens' activities available at the hotels there. We had only been to Va Beach once for a beach wedding two years ago and the hotel that we stayed at was not that great. The Oceanfront Inn though was very clean, small, and quiet (as quiet as Va Beach can be with the Navy flying planes out of Oceana all the time)! All rooms are ocean-front, and we also saw, and photographed, many dolphins right from our balcony on 3 days of our 4 night stay! I don't even mind the Navy planes because I like watching them as well (you will experience the planes no matter where you stay at this beach). The staff is very friendly and helpful, and want you to enjoy your stay with them. The Neptune Restaurant is also very good and has a nightly seafood buffet in season, has reasonable prices for the area, and a friendly wait staff. We also ate breakfast there several times, and were very pleased to have the convenience of a good restaurant on-site. If we return to Va Beach (and i think that we will!), we would definitely stay here again!! Small, affordable, and very clean.

Room Tip: If our standard, two double-bed room was this good (part of the package, I'm sure), then any big...

We stayed there two years ago and look forward to visiting again soon. This hotel was perfect for any beachfront vacation. Beautiful View, Great Location (down the boardward from King Neptune). The rooms are pretty clean considering the amount of sand the guests track in and out of the place. The staff goes over and beyond to make your stay perfect. The indoor pool is a non-chlorinated and is a salt pool which is really nice. The restaurant is good food reasonable pricing for the area.
Location, Location, Location is what makes it perfect. Very clean beach area, off the beautiful boardwalk. Nice to have a family owned hotel opposed to the large/corporate owned places.
Family friendly!
I would strongly advise anyone to give this place is shot. Great value! (50% + less than the surrounding hotels)

Room Tip: Ocean View Rooms are a must! We loved having the door wall open with the curtains blowing in the oc...

If you would love a nice family hotel this is the place to go. Staff here are so friendly and rooms (suites) are great, countertops and bar in kitchen are granit, nice and new. It is a very quiet hotel at night, and you also park right at hotel not down the block. The beach is right outside your door. Best views and we even seen dolphins 2 days in a row. The kids loved it. I would recommend this to all my family and friends. We will be going back to this hotel next year .We felt like we were right at home ,thanks to the staff and owner.Great prices threw orbitz and travelocity.

Room Tip: Beach right outside your door,Clean and quiet family place to stay.Large sunny rooms with a view tha...

Arriving the staff was really friendly, we recieved a basket with wine glasses, a bottle of basic wine and some candies and breakfest coupons we purchased. The room was very nice! King sized bed (was a little hard, nothing major). It smelt a little to strong of bleach but some febreze took care of that. The view is AMAZING! The rooms were very clean along with the bathroom. You are provided with a few hangers (but if you like to hang majority of your clothes I would bring extra) You do not have a microwave, you have a mini fridge (and when I say mini its tiny. Its 3 shelves a little freezer) to put into perspective we fit a weeks worth of meat steaks, burgers etc. soda, dips. If your traveling with children it maybe to small for you. The beach is only seconds away and is very clean and surprisingly isnt incredibly crowded. TONS of shops and resturants around as well. They do have a parking garage (the ramps are pretty narrow) I drive a Toyota Yaris and even in my car it took a while to make sure I went slow so I wouldnt collide with anyone coming around the corner.Deffinetly lots to do there! We stayed on the 5th floor, nice and quiet, you can hear the Navy fighter jets flying around during the day, its not to bad. Oh for cooking wise! We brought a Electric Griddle to cook on so that way we wouldnt have to eat out every night. The smoke detectors are on the right side of the room by the bathroom so keep the balcony door open and you should be fine!

Overall a great vacation and great hotel!
If we go back to Virginia Beach we will stay there again!

Hope this helped :)

My wife and I stayed at the Ocean Front for a week in mid July. We were on the sixth floor with a spectacular view of the ocean and all the activities going on, on the boardwalk!
We had stayed in a not so nice place as a stop over for 2 nights in Virginia Beach last summer just to see what is was all about. Very impressed with Virginia Beach and especially the boardwalk, and even though we were disappointed with where we stayed.....(Sea Side Inn), we came back this year hoping for a better experience, accomodation wise. We were a little suspect of some of the reviews for the Oceanfront but took a chance and boy are we happy we did! The staff were wonderful, the room was just fine....clean..... and the view was everything we could have asked for. We booked on Hotels.com and wondered if we might get an inferior view, but not the case. We ate at the Neptune (restaurant affiliated and part of the Oceanfront Inn) twice and loved it.
My wife and I will certainly be booking a holiday at the Oceanfront again in the future. Just love Virginia Beach!

Room Tip: We stayed directly across from the elevator which was a bit noisy at night but tolerable.
