“You get what you pay for.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012

This hotel was very inexpensive and the best value for location. However with that being said this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at( very dirty). It was not just one thing that made it "dirty" it was multiple things. The shower had mold in it, the toilet seat was broke, the balcony door was broke and the room had this horrible odor. This is just a few things. My advise would be to spend some extra money and stay somewhere that is more sanitary.

We had a wonderful few days at the Oceanfront Inn. The staff, all around, were courteous and professional. One night our car was towed because we had forgotten to put the car ID in the window and the staff took care of the problem, even though the problem had been caused by me. The hotel is conveniently located and the beach is very accessible. We only ate breakfast at the hotel but it was fairly priced and very good. Our room was very clean and we had a great balcony and view of the beach. Overall, I would not hesitate to stay at the Oceanfront Inn sometime in the future.

We stayed at the Oceanfront Inn during the last week of June 2012. The location was great. The hotel is two down from Neptune Park, where there is live music most evenings. All rooms are oceanfront, the staff are friendly, and the price was reasonable compared to other oceanfront hotels in VB. The entire hotel is no smoking and no pets and was very quiet, which we like. Areas that could be improved include the following: the bed was located directly beside the A/C unit which blew cold air right on me all night. The hotel must not have many luggage carts because we had to wait quite a long time to get one when we were trying to check out. Our greatest complaint would be the quality of the pillows--they had to be the worst pillows we've ever slept on in our lives. In fact, we were unable to get a good night's sleep during our trip because of the physical discomfort. Waking up with a neck ache is not something I want on vacation.
We will probably try a different hotel next time. If other places were booked, we'd consider this hotel again. But we'd bring our own pillows.

On arrival, we got to check in hours early with no problems. Our room was clean and nicer than I had anticipated. The view from our 6th floor room was perfect. The location is great. Very close to the Hilton that had nightly entertainment. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The only negative thing I can complain about is the shower. No matter what temperature you put it at, it was constantly going between hot and cold which really sucks if your burnt. After the first day or two, it didn't even phase me.

Overall, I would reckon mend staying here. It's not expensive and you get a great oceanfront room.

I loved the location and the price. I liked being on the 3rd floor, we could easily walk down every time and be right on the boardwalk. The whole hotel and room was very clean, the hallway and hotel always had a pleasant smell to it, no bad odors anywhere. The room seemed slightly dated, comparing it to the holiday inn on 21st street and smaller, but the price is about $55 less than the holiday inn per night, so I felt it was worth it. There was a 30"? flat screen TV and a radio in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were so good that I am going to try to buy one like it. I loved having privacy in the balcony, you cannot see any other rooms from your balcony due to a cement wall, nice and private and quiet. We could not hear any noise from the other rooms at all. Wish list: I would like it it the hotel would keep a few beach chairs for guests, (we left ours behind that we bought across the street). I've seen this at other hotels and it's a nice customer feature. If you want to rent the beach set ups, its an expensive $51 a day, yikes, we went across the street and bought our own folding chairs ($14) and umbrella $8. The sink in the bath is small, but the whole bathroom is on the small side. It was tough to fit your toiletries on the sink. Also, a dish for the soap would have been nice, you just put it on the sink with your other stuff and it gets wet and slides. Elevators were not a problem, when we took them to go up, there's 3 of them. Our maid on the 3rd floor was very nice, wish i had got her name, very cheerful and kept our room clean. My only staff complaint is a woman at the front desk, I think her name is Bobbi??, short bleached hair, glasses, brown eyes. It would be nice if she cracked a smile once a day. She wasn't rude, but she was abrupt and you almost felt like you were bothering her if you asked anything. be pleasant, smile, it's called customer service with a smile. It won't hurt. She had this attitude the whole time we were there. I recommend Murphy's one block over on Pacific if you want good food, drinks and friendly people. Good prices also. Plenty of TVs for sports.

The balcony views are hard to beat for the price. Not a fancy hotel but certainly nice enough. The restaurant in the hotel has great full course breakfasts and other meals as well. It's right on the Boardwalk in a good location, close to bike rentals, shopping and other restaurants. The beach is well maintained here too.

Just got back from staying at The OceanFront Inn.

The Good:
All around CLEAN bathroom and comfortable beds
Updated rooms with a flat screen tv
Updated bedding decor
New updated Room Key where you wave the key card over the sensor door panel instead of usually having to swipe it with your hands being full of luggage.

Not so Good:
Wasn't happy with the slow Internet at times (I had to call the front desk to ask what the hotel's Username and Passcode to use their wifi which was a inconvenience to me)
Also the hotel's parking lot and parking deck had no available spots left later in the evening, luckily someone was leaving and we quickly got their spot to park in

For the value and cleanliness of The OceanFront Inn, I will return again.

Thank you for taking your time to post your review and share your comments. We appreciate your constructive feedback. Regarding the wireless signal, our management has addressed this concern by adding signal boosters, however, as with other wireless signals, the signal may be stronger or weaker during certain times. During very busy times our parking can get limited but rest assured each guest will always have one parking space per room.
