We had a great time at the VB north hotel while attending a sports tournament at the convention center. Our room was on the 7th floor facing the ocean. It had a refrigerator & microwave which is extremely helpful with children. The breakfast buffet was excellent, many choices. The indoor lazy river and spa was wonderful! Don't forget to pack a small raft for the kids, they do not supply them. They have a turtle in the kids room and movies all day in the theater. Staff was always friendly & attentive to any need we had. We would certainly return.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my in-laws (technology, you know!). They came to visit us in Virginia from Wisconsin. They asked if we had a local hotel with a pool that they could take the girls to. We knew that would get a little old quickly so we talked them in to the 2 hour drive to Virginia Beach to stay in this particular Holiday Inn. We had stayed here several years ago and knew it was a one-stop shop as far as a hotel. Plus, it's a Holiday Inn so we get HI points!

Even though it was March, staying at the beach is always fun. There's the sounds from the waves, the wind and the people watching. This hotel is on the North side of the beach so its not exactly in the center of the action which is perfect for us. There are a LOT of hotels at the beach but I think this one is the best for several reasons: location, room size (we got the suite), the restaurants, and the KIDS CLUB! Never mind that they have an indoor pool with an indoor lazy river. You can't beat that when its too cold to swim outside. They have added another tortoise to their tortoise family. The kid's club offers opportunities to watch the turtles feed. My girls love it. They can also do crafts and other activities not that there's ever enough time after swimming and the beach. They a movie theater with kids and non-kid movies.

My in-laws are pretty persnickety (read: kinda cheap and kinda critical). The only complaint, or as my husband calls them "Wiscompliments", they had was a noise coming from the roof about 4:00 a.m. They said it woke them up and they couldn't go back to sleep. They reported it so I'm sure it's resolved now. The suites are really nice size and great for families who would like two tvs - one for the Colbert Report and one for Nickelodeon!

I'm sure we'll go back again. It is a great choice for families in and out of beach season.

Last minute stay went way better than anticipated! Staff was super friendly and ensured that all details of this romantic getaway was a success. The restaurant was elegant with a gorgeous view of the water! The room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Morning breakfast included an array of selections to please all. It could not have gone better. The staff truly kind and friendly. No where else I'd rather stay in VB.

Spent 1 night 2 nights at the Holiday Inn and it was wonderful! I was there with a marriage retreat group and there was Aldo a HUGE youth convention going on st the same time. There. Were loud rowdy teenagers all over the place but once we closed our room door we couldn't. Hear a thing! The room was spacious. The food at the hotel was wonderfully tasty! Plenty to do tor kids and a great location!
